Did anyone else really go off their husband when pregnant?

I'm finding this really tough
He makes me feel ill, I cannot stand kissing him properly, him touching me in bed, even cuddling drives me mad
This is not usual he's getting really hurt, I have explained that I think it's hormones and will get better in the 2nd trimester (I'm 11 weeks)
Please reassure me that this happens to other women too.

I totally went off sex through my pregnancy, even if my DH cuddle me I'd freak at him!! I have to agree with Olihan I felt just like that!

UselessMum · 29/08/2006 21:58

not when pregnant but for a few months after dd was born. but not to worry, it does come back!

tegan · 29/08/2006 22:28

I went off sex as soon as I found out I was pg with both dd's, and yet dh wants us to get pg as soon as possible.

Waswondering - I couldn't stand the mere idea of any sort of nookie until the third trimester but then I was on fire. Dh was running scared of me then!
Good luck Piffle & congratulations on nearly making it passed 12 weeks.

waswondering - my theory is the opposite to yours.

I was fine with dd last time round I did have hyperemesis so was not aware of much for the first 18 weeks
I know my libido was crap but I know that I did not go of dp as I have this time.
Hmmm
I am going to find out the sex as I simply must know... Will test the theory then
I would adore another girl but after 3 years of trying quite frankly either would be a blessing

Glad to know others the same. Am now 28 weeks. No problem with smell. Cuddles are nice. As is having my back rubbed or my feet. Not actually feeling repulsed but really just cant be bothered. Not even with proper snogging. Partner being very supportive and understanding but is finding lack of sex & kissing tough.

so chuffed to hear that i'm not the only one. I too, am like a bear with a sore head but put it down to being 35 weeks pg and still no confirmed exchange on house move. I too, have no interest in sex but (this will make you laugh) dreamt about dh the other night and that my pelvic floor muscles were so good that when I 'clenched' it made him you know what, immediately. Dream on....
