What's Going to Happen to my Breasts?

So I'm TTC currently, no children yet and I keep wondering what I should expect to happen to my breasts (minor concern in the scheme of having a child of course).
Basically I'm a petite size but I've always had large breasts - I'm currently a 32E bra size. I'm dreading them getting even bigger (I've never enjoyed having large boobs) and I'm wondering what pregnancy and breastfeeding will do to them in terms of size. By strange coincidence, all my "mother" friends do not have large breasts so I don't really have any point of reference. Can anyone share their "boob" experiences with me? Did they go down after breastfeeding, or by some miracle end up smaller?

32d prior to breastfeeding for 29 months in total. Am now 34a. Don't count on them getting bigger!

Mine got a cup size bigger during then went back down to normal size. Didn't BF with first ds though as I couldn't due to medication. I am quite busty anyway and small framed so hoping they stay the same size again!

I'm 18 weeks and the boobs have been the highest giveaway to my pregnancy. Previously a size 6-8 on bottom and 8 on top. There's no way I can get the girls into any of my pretty tops now and I'm starting to struggle with t shirts. I've also tried the non underwire bra's and just feel so unsupported in them so have had to go back to wired bras.

I saw a friends 1yr old ds last week, he could not stop staring, grabbing and reaching for my boobs! I'm just a bit worried that with them being so big, the quality of my milk will be diluted (no idea if that actually happens).

Do they pain also???
I am 5 weeks and even if my husband's knee touched by mistake it pains a lot...
Is that normal???

Keep weight gain under control for a start. This is vital - if you pile it on then your breasts will get larger than they need to and will drop. Laws of gravity and all that....Sad
Do your pectoral exercises- especially important if you have larger breasts as decent pecs will help support your back and shoulders and take some of the strain.
Wear a really good bra.
Breastfeed if oyu can and without fear that it'll ruin them.

My breasts aren't large but remain unchanged by PG and BF. My friend has large breasts and hers still look amazing.

However sometimes with the best will in the world, they do droop.

36gg pre pregnancy, 36gg now at 37 weeks. I expect them to go up when my milk comes in but with dc1 and 2 that was only temporary and they were back to normal within a week. They did get fuller if baby was due a feed, but this only lasts until feed is done!

A good supportive bra is absolutely essential if you want them to look normal under your clothes. For me this meant an under wire, despite all the advice, once feeding was established. Soft cups just whilst my boobs were sorting themselves out and we were getting into a feeding routine where they knew what was expected of them.

*BumpnGrind" size of your boobs has no effect whatsoever on quality of milk so don't worry that milk will be diluted. Good luck.

mtaneja Boobs are quite often sore during pregnancy as they change and milk ducts inside start developing for example, especially at the start so don't worry. For me that's how I first knew I was pregnant this time, I thought "ouch my Boobs hurt!" And then "but the only time I've felt this before was when I was pregnant. Oh wait..."
I am intrigued to know what your husband's knee is doing touching them? Are you acrobats or contortionists or something?!

mtanega pain in the early weeks is normal, but it goes away pretty quickly

Missingcaffeine · 09/05/2014 23:13

mtanega my breasts hurt loads in the first trimester to the point I had to sleep in a soft bra as any movement when moving in bed was too uncomfortable. They've been fine since around 10 weeks.
