I'm only 13+6 currently with DC2 and I'm already having problems sleeping. I didn't get this till I got bigger last time but this time I'm waking about 2-3am and then tossing & turning for the rest of the night Hmm my hips hurt and I can't get comfy.
We bought a new mattress too before we had DC1 but it's not helping much.

Has anyone else been sleeping bad so early on? Or any suggestions to what worked for you? Smile

Get a big pregnancy pillow, my one looks like a horseshoe. Really helps to support my hip s and belly hope you get a better sleep soon.,

Agree, I got a BIG pregnancy pillow (Summer pregnancy pillow or something) around 14 weeks and it was brilliant. Not just for big bumps (although it is extra amazing as the bump is growing!)

Thanks Smile I will definitely look into one of those Smile

I kicked hubby into spare room last night to see if that helped lol Grin

Big pillow transformed my sleeping, I got the one by summer infant. Love it!

I don't think I've slept through a night since I got pregnant, so now at 25 weeks I'm getting sick! It started with the weeing (well, that's never stopped) and sickness, then weird panicky heart racing feelings that wake me up, hips aching, bump hurting, trapped wind, restless legs, and just plain old insomnia! I did used to sleep well (although my husband pointed out that there were very few nights in the past when I wouldn't have had at least one drink before bed...) so this is horrible. I used to be a tummy sleeper though so I find it hard to not sleep like that. Last night though only woke up twice and slept in until 10 this morning, bliss. I do love both my pregnancy pillows (one which hooks around my back and under bump and then around my shoulder/neck) and a horseshoe one. Highly recommend them. I also find having my own duvet means I'm not bothering my husband (as much) when I shift around. Though the times when you have two aching hips, and no option of sleeping on belly or back are still tough Sad

What you need is a 'Princess Bed'. A lady at work told me about this and I love her for it. Take a big thick duvet, fold into thirds and place it lengthways where you will lay, add the compulsory pregnancy pillow- I have a dream genie which is great, but not cheap, lay down and sink into your lovely cloud bed.
I love that even DH refers to it as my Princess bed. Grin

LOVING the sound of the 'Princess Bed'!

I think i might try that, sounds like bliss.

I have had pretty much the same as redling ...not slept since beginning of pregnancy due to hip and thigh pain, nausea, needing a wee, insomnia, rib pain etc. In recent weeks (I'm 32 weeks now) i have been sleeping on top of a folded duvet ..this has helped with hip pain. Cushion between knees and cold hot water bottle(in a furry cover so it's basically a small cushion) under the bump. I am keeping positive by thinking that at least all the sleepless nights with a new born won't come as a shock! :-D
