Hey there! We bought the Mothercare expedia, it was £200 when we bought it a couple of months ago but back up to regular price of £250 now and that's for the complete travel system with a choice of colours (we went for boring but practical black even though the red was stating right at me!) it's so easy to fold down and change bits around etc. Dc2 is due in two weeks so I'm looking forward to being able to use it properly and not just play with it Grin

We looked at the expedia too but the assistant said there wasn't a compatible isofix base for it so we decided against it. If your using public transport though it wouldn't be an issue. We are probably going to go for the Mamas and Papas Zoom which is within your budget (unless we find something good on Gumtree).

It'll be a combination of car and public transport for us but thankfully isofix wasn't a problem for us which we were glad of as really liked the travel system. There are some really great ones out there though if you just look around and reviews are also helpful Smile

I liked the look of hauk apollo but somebody said it's too bulky for public transport

I've got the graco evo, it collapses easily and is dead light. Not very bulky for a travel system either, also has a lovely big basket underneath.

Once you've decided what you want it's worth looking on eBay, we got ours for less than half the price of the shops and it only had a few m

Oops! Only had a few months use from previous owner, still looks brand new!

my best advice for public transport is to get an expedia type model of pram. (imo they are the best and its what I have for getting the bus with).

There are 2 different "types" of travel system. The first is the sort where you have the car seat sitting on top of the pram unit. They are the cheaper variety and usually come to between 100-200 pounds.

The other sort is the sort where it can be a car seat on wheels or a pram on wheels. They are really expesnive and start at about 300-500 pounds... apart from the expedior.

My plan with public transport is to have the base collapsed and the car seat with baby next to me on a "normal" seat if its busy.

The other option of course with public transport is a sling. Do your research and find a local sling library so you can see the range and try some out. I have got one in preparation because I know how difficult prams are on buses so a sling is going to give me more freedom.

Have a look to see if the joie chrome from mother care is still on offer. The ante natal group in part of about five of the ladies have bought it. We were torn between that and the mamas and papas sola. Got the sola in the end from their outlet shop which made it a lot cheaper x

This is the one we have

M&P also have a further 10% off until 5 May. It's really lightweight, easy to put up and fold down and has really good reviews.

I have a mammas&pappas urbo travel system for sale for about £200 - I'm in South Wales. PM me if you want details.... Smile
