Pregnant and not sure what to do...

On Thursday I found out that I am pregnant and I don't know what to do. I am in a difficult situation: father of the baby lives abroad, we are not together and the baby was not planned. We are friends and I know he doesn't want to have children. I have the copper coil and only ovulate 3-4 times a year so it was a big surprise when the pregnancy test was positive, as well as three other ones. When I was 19 I was told that it is very difficult for me to have children and now this happens. I work full-time and study part-time. A baby is the last thing that I need at the moment. I have no savings and although my parents are well off they will not support me. I am not British and I am not sure what kind of benefits I am entitled too. I live in England since I am 17, so returning to my home country is not an option. This is 'my home' now here. I can't return to my current job, they need somebody to live in and I can't continue living here should I decide to have the baby. The other option is to terminate the pregnancy, but I am really against it and would only do it if there is no other way.

I would really appreciate your advice.

I think you've answered your own question when you say you are really against abortion. How would you feel after an abortion? It's not for anyone here to advise you what to do but you need to ask yourself the question.

It could be very difficult looking after a child on your own, but equally rewarding. I suggest you seek some impartial advice, confide in trusted friends/family and tell the father - he might surprise you. Even if he doesn't want to be involved he may be able to help financially.

If you're a British Citizen you should be entitled to some support and as for your job, you have employment rights, that us assuming you're employed legally and paying tax etc. a trip the the Citizens Advice Bureau may help.

I wish you the very best of luck.
