Why am I in so much pain!?

I'm fourteen weeks and I'm sat here with a hot water bottle and pillows I'm in so much pain Sad

My lower back aches all the way down to the bottom of my legs, even my knees ache, the pain is in my back, legs and in my pelvis. It's really bad, worse than any other period pain I've experienced. I can't explain it but it's aching agony.

I've had it a handful of times so far and suffered for a few hours but this has been non stop for two days it doesn't come and go it's just there. I've tried swimming and I've tried resting, hot baths etc nothing's worked and it's just getting worse.

Has any one else experienced this?

If you are in that much pain you need to see a doctor. That is not normal.

Really? It's not to the point of tears it's just making life very uncomfortable and I'm miserable!

I thought it would just be the hormones but for some reason maybe I'm suffering a bit more?

I definitely get checked out. Could be normal pregnancy pains or could be that the pregnancy is putting a massive strain on your body. I felt like that the whole way through mine but that's cos I've got problems already xx

I feel worried now as it's the weekend and not something I want to annoy the OOH doctors with if it's fairly normal
I've had constant headaches last 3 days as well but thought it may be the headache virus that's been going around

I've tried googling but can't see anything to cause alarm apart from abdominal pain, bleeding or pelvic pain I can't talk through.

OP I spent many years working as a midwife before I had my own children and I am certain that you need to be checked over by a doctor.
Is there an OOH centre near you?

Stom91 · 25/04/2014 18:47

You won't annoy then. They'd rather u go and there be nothing wrong than you not go and there be something serious cxx

Def go to ooh. I hope it's all ok for you and your baby too.

stop googling and ring a midwife. I had a midwife out on easter sunday. It is what they are there for. Do you have a phone number in your notes to ring?

they can advise who the best person to ring.

my mw triage is 7 days a week 8-4..

''PPGP is a collection of uncomfortable symptoms caused by a misalignment or stiffness of your pelvic joints at either the back or front of your pelvis. PPGP is not harmful to your baby, but it can cause severe pain around your pelvic area and make it difficult for you to get around. Different women have different symptoms, and in some women PPGP is worse than in others. Symptoms can include:
pain over the pubic bone at the front in the centre
pain across one or both sides of your lower back
pain in the area between your vagina and anus (perineum)
Pain can also radiate to your thighs, and some women feel or hear a clicking or grinding in the pelvic area. "
I've just found this on NHS site which makes me feel a bit better says 1 in 5 suffer? It seems to say it does need to be looked at to receive physiotherapy - so something that can wait till Monday maybe?

Yes there's an out of hours but DS is in bed and no one else is here to have him

PGP/SPD IS very common and it does sound like you may have it. Best thing is to see your me or your up and get diagnosed and then they usually offer physio x
