Misjudged timing, too late for MAP anything I can do to encourage my period to come along?

Help! DTD on Sunday, day 6 or 7 of my 25/26 day cycle so a day or two after my period finished.

Discussed but didn't use a condom (for interrupted by Dc, just too much to think about) .

Saw some ovulation signs Wednesday, didn't think much of it. But, today day 11/12 of cycle I have spotting. The last time I got this I was pg.

However DC is no yet 11 months. We've had a bit of a rough roller coaster rid since she was born with v stressful house move, serous illness for me (I was in hospital for a week when she was 4 months), stressful job hunt then I started a new job in January.

Wed like another but not yet! I feel like we are just about able to catch our breath and need more of this, not least to get a bi if our couple time and sex lives back (Sunday was the first time in months we've DTD).

I did consider the morning after pill but thought we'd be ok. Now it's too late for that. Hmm
So, is there anything I can do now to encourage my period to come other than crossing my fingers?

You should still be in time to get the Ella One (Ullipristal) MAP- it's got a window of 5 days/120 hours action after DTD.

You think? It's nearly 6 days now but worth a try I guess. I'll go to the pharmacy

Take extremely large doses of vitimin c, it inhibits progesterone secretion and is pretty effective.

6-10 mg a day, taken at regular intervals. The cheaper the better as the high quality stuff has additives which counteract it's effect on progesterone... If you can stomach them the effervescent tablets are the best.

It works best the sooner you start, there's a good chance it'll work if you start now before your period is due.

It's harmless as your body flushes the excess so it won't make you unwell or have any side effects.

6-10mg is not a large dose. The effervescent ones are 1gram, 100x what you are suggesting.

OP you might be just in time to get a iud placed, that can also be used for emergency contraception. Other than that it's hold your breath and keep your fingers crossed. If you get your period it's time to sort some alternative contraception!

Sorry, meant gram. Was typing quickly.

Basically 6-10 of the effervescent tabs.

Will they fit an iud if there's a potential pregnancy? Over here they won't (Ireland), you have to go in right after a period and they pregnancy test you to be sure. Hopefully it's different over there as that's probably the best option at this point, I think the op is too late for the Ella one to work.

In England they will fit one a emergency contraception, I think only if within 5 days of dtd. Not sure where you go, family planning clinic or possibly a&e.

Google the vit c. It can be used for early abortions, although I don't know how successful it is.
