For anyone i've been interacting with on here for the last 4 months or so - I'm 4 1/2 weeks pg!! Early, I know, but I kind of knew before I did 3 pg tests!! I'm soooo happy, I didn't think it would happen this soon!
Thanks to everyone who left messages of support on some of the threads I have been on, especially in the early days. Just hope every thing runs smoothly from now on.

congrats..after 2 mc and 4 years of trying for a baby we now have a 15 months old gorgeous dd. I'm now 17 weeks pregnant with dc2..!! I know exactly how you feel. Believe me once baby is here the amazement is even more bizare..Thinking "How the hell did I make a baby from an egg and some sperm" but you know what..you did it..!!! (btw dh & I still look at dd and think this now..)

You need to relax now and take things very easy. xx

iamapieceofcheesecake · 23/08/2006 14:48

Thanks, but I feel this is where my problem nay lie. When I'm at home I like to take things easy, but when I am at work (which is only a saturday), I can't help but, well, help! I work for Mothercare and am trained to fit car seats. I know some of these can be heavy, but I just wondered if they were heavy enough to harm the baby. Any advice?

Although, saying that, when I'm at home I do like to play games with my ds (2) which involve a lot of running around.

Hi Iamapieceofcheescake,

I was on the "living near Ipswich" thread you started a few weeks ago - just wanted to send my congratulations! Really pleased for you.

No advice on th carseat at work issue am afraid. Do you work at the big Mothercare on the Toys'r'us roundabout? That's our most local one since they shut Colchester's one down.

Take care and hope all goes well.

shhhh · 23/08/2006 15:19

imho I wouldn't lift a thing that wasn't necessary (ie car seats). I know what you mean though I am a nightmare for not sitting still and taking things easy but once I got pregnant with dd I just knew I had no choice. Either that or put my dd at risk. My dh wouldn't let me do anything for 9 months and that included housework ..!!

I personally believe that some people can carry on at 100 mph once pregnant and some people can'.t..I'm one of the ones that can't.
You need to weigh up whats most precious in your life. But it's your choice.

bobblehead · 23/08/2006 17:00

Congrats cheesecake!

Think you popped on to one of the 'positive..' threads for a bit? I am now 8 weeks pg too

I know through all my last pregnancy I moved a fair bit of heavy stock around and was fine. Anything that felt too awkward I got others to do but it was only really when bump got in the way I stopped. Go with what makes you feel comfortable though and fake a bad back in the early days if need be!

hulababy · 23/08/2006 17:10

Congratulations!
