Symptoms waxing and waning

Probably a really stupid question but do anyone else's symptoms change all the time? I am 6 weeks (it feels like longer b/c I found out so early) and my symptoms have been a movable feast! Until last week I was insatiably thirsty, drinking 7 - 8 litres of water a day; exhausted from about 3pm - 7pm; really tender and sore boobs; weird cramps and twinges lower pelvis.

Everything seems to have calmed down a bit now ... I'm feeling queasy in the morning - not vomiting but a couple of dry retches. Boobs are still big but not as sore any more. Makes me feel a bit nervous that things are subsiding but I suppose it's early days and things will keep cropping up?

Sorry this is probably a very pointless post but it's my first pregnancy & I have no idea what's normal.

Gennz it's totally normal for symptoms to come and go. I'm pregnant with DC3 and I have days when I feel almost completely normal (other than bigger boobs) - like today. And other days where v tired, nauseous and boobs feel v tender. I'm now 9+2 weeks and the sickness has gone.
Please try not to let it worry you, although I know the symptoms are a reassuring sign. Every day and every week can be different, especially in early days when hormones are going haywire and body is adapting. Some people barely have any symptoms in early pregnancy.

Good luck with it all!

Thanks Mabel! I am so clueless!

It's so confusing isn't it! I'm 7+5 and hardly have any symptoms. But yesterday afternoon I felt really nauseous and thought "Oh well, here we go" but this morning I feel totally normal again. Messing with my head.

I'm just checking again as my symptoms have really subsided (I'm 6+3 now) - boobs are no longer tender and while they haven't shrunk back down to normal size, they're definitely not as puffy as they were in the last week or two. My only symptoms at the moment are feeling queasy in the morning, perhaps a dry heave or two, a few twinges on either side of my pelvis and feeling a bit more tired than usual.

Sorry to crap on about it but is this anything to worry about? Because my symptoms came thick and fast from week 4 - 6 I assumed they would ramp up, especially at the 6 week mark.

I guess I'm just totally paranoid as I haven't had an appointment and my first is nearly 2 weeks away. Feeling like a bit of a basket case! DH thinks I'm mental to worry (esp when he hears the delightful dry heaves in the morning)

I'm experiencing the same - last week I felt sick, was burping a lot and always hungry. Boobs were very sore. This week, very little nausea, lots of lower back pain, boobs are still sore but little if any nausea. I did also have a wee turn on Monday when I felt faint but other than the back and boobs I fell ok - just a bit off if that makes sense - my tummy is a bit iffy but I've started a new healthy diet and that is probably down to the sudden increase in fruit and veg!

It so weird isn't it kitkat. I guess b/c it's my first I just have no idea what's normal. Plus I had lunch yesterday with a lovely but completely insensitive friend who is 32 weeks and was telling me about 2 friends of her who had miscarriages between the 8 and 12 week scans Hmm

Yes I find it very unnerving - I've had a very quiet day today - no nausea, boobs not as sore and neither is my back - I've had 2 mc's before so I'm probably just overly paranoid but either way, nothing to be done but keep calm and carry on (and be grateful for the fact that I'm not being sick every 5 minutes!)
