My brain just won't work.... is this normal?!

Am sure I didn't get this last time but my brain has quite simply turned to porridge. Big row with dh on holiday because I forgot to mention I had an appointment at work the day after and we had to come home early. Keep forgetting to answer vital emails at work. Not that I'm organised exactly, normally, but I always managed to keep on top of things, more or less...

Anyone else find this? There was another thread about people turning into total lunatics while pg - well, I'm not a lunatic, just really, really stupid....

I'm having this some days worse than others, im a complete dither brain

Indith · 16/08/2006 14:55

My brain is officailly mush and I need to write everything down on a list. But then I forget to add something to the list, or I forget to look at the list.........

KathyMCMLXXII · 16/08/2006 15:15

Me too, Indith. Lists are only any use as long as you're actually capable of using a list.

Last week I forgot to take my diary to work on a day when I had to do lots of diary-sorting-out. So I wrote down all the appointments I made on a piece of paper which .... I left at work, and I'm working from home this week! Duh!

(FWIW I have never, ever forgotten to take my diary to work before )

I'm getting it aswell!! even forgot how far gone i was when the midwife asked me today!! its usally little things i forget, like what time to meet friends for lunch, where i put my phone etc! i think its only natural in pregnancy, well i hope so anyway!!!

I was like that both of my pregnancies... really annoying!

Elibean · 16/08/2006 19:55

Totally, utterly mush. I'm double booking myself all over the place, but thankfully at least half the people I'm messing about nod knowingly and say 'you're really pregnant, aren't you'.

Indith · 16/08/2006 20:27

Aww Soph I do that all the time! People ask how far along I am and I just know its currently between 20 and 25 weeks somewhere. I can remember my due date though! Midwife always has to get her wheel out and calculate for me from that!

I have found this the most debilitating thing in the pregnancy - I rely on my brain at work and am SOOOO fed up with being in the middle of delivering a lecture and forget my words mid-sentance......grrr!

LadyTophamHatt · 16/08/2006 21:32

Do a serach under ante-natal and my hame to see all the ridiculous wittering I've said and doen since finding out I was OG again.

God help us all when I sleep deprived too.
