Does it bring on labour or is it another wives tale. I'm only 35 weeks so not going to drink any of it yet but would give it a go.

Oh Hannah. Sad

Does it help at all to think of it as a 'due window'. Because full term is anywhere between 37 and 42 weeks. The due 'date' just allows care to be arranged around it and isn't an indication of when the baby will or should come. In France, they use 41 weeks as their guide to care, so you wouldn't be calling yourself overdue if you lived there. Overdue is technically 42+ weeks. It's so hard for pregnant women not to feel like they're being watched. How many of us have had the old 'still pregnant, eh?' line?

This is the sort of situation I mean. As Hannah has found, the myths don't work and all you do is end up thoroughly grumpy because people have told you oooh x definitely works or have you tried y? And of course, you look at the list and most of it is eating stuff which makes you uncomfortable or taking part in exercise which makes you sore and cross.

I took the capsules from 38 weeks. I was induced at 39 weeks (not sure if induction makes a difference) but they put the drip in at 3pm, i had my first contraction at 430pm and my waters broke then. My son was born at 5.10pm, so 40 mins from first contraction to baby.
