34 weeks lost plug

So I'm pretty sure I'm losing my mucus plug since yesterday. I've noticed snot like discharge, in clumps and smaller pieces.
I've also had cramping which comes and goes. Feels a little like I have an upset stomach, but then I don't need to go.
I know you can lose the plug a few weeks before anything happens and that it can also regenerate, but how will I know?
Anyone had experience of this? What was the outcome?

Hi I'm 34 weeks and yesterday I had a show in my underwear also baby has dropped down and so I can breathe easier than what I have been doing. However today I have been getting lower back pain and the baby's movements are starting to become painful especially in my pelvic region. I have spoken to the midwife and she suggested I wait but if it gets worse to ring the hospital. I really don't want to feel silly and call them if there is nothing wrong
