i am currently writing a fictional novel with the theme as mentioned in the title. would really appreciate hearing from people who this applies to, even if you only kept it a secret for a short time. why did you keep it a secret? were you scared of the reaction? how long were you together? what was the reaction when you eventually told your OH? thanks v much

I tried hard to keep it from my DH but he kept pestering me every day to find out if my period had started yet and saying,' it hasn't? You are so pregnant!' I wouldn't buy a test from the shop (we live in a small gossipy town, if it was negative, the world and its mother would have been asking anyway! I wouldn't have handled it!) So I made him wait until I could get a doctors appointment, for no other reason than to extend the excitement of not knowing! The minute I got back from the docs, DH called to say,'WELL?????' ( he was working away at the time, you would think that would make it easier to keep it to myself!) I just blurted it out straight away!!! I had sooo been planning to have a few hours (at least), to myself, before I called him, but I just couldn't help myself!!
I then couldn't wait until the 12 weeks to tell my parents and told them immediately too!! This is our first and it was planned, hence the excitement!
Sorry, that wasn't really what you wanted was it!?
