No weight gain in 6 weeks at 28 weeks - normal?

I am now 28 weeks pregnant with my first baby and I haven't gained any weight since I was 22 weeks. I wasn't too worried at first as I'd already gained quite a lot - I began my pregnancy at 8st 5 (I'm 5'4) and am now 10 stone. Does anyone know if this is ok or if I should be worried that my baby isn't growing? I feel it kicking a lot and can see it moving. At my midwife appointment last week she said I was measuring 2 weeks behind, but not to worry. But I am! Any reassurance or advice would be great.
Thanks

Hi Tinasan,
Dont think you should worry by the sounds of it baby seems healthy and they say 2weeks either side is ok. Wait untill your about 32 weeks and see if you have gained any weight sure you probably will. Im 34 weeks and have been putting on roughly a pound a week now. A friend of mine is 26weeks and and doesnt even look pregnant but her babys doing absolutely fine. So dont fret.
Good luckx

don't worry - I lost two pounds one month - and basically put on no weight in the last four months.

I was nine stone when I got pg and 10st 10 on the day I had her. ONce I stopped gaining weight my midwife said she wasn't worried because I had gained 20 lbs or so from the start...make sure you keep all your appointments and the mw is happy.

Hopefully it means you wont have too much to lose after the baby is born..I was thrilled to be 9st 9lb two days after the birth of dd.
Incidently - this was my fourth baby and no one had ever weighed me during my previous pregnancies, and I certainly didn't weigh my self!!

The mum's weight-gain isn't really important during pregnancy. Only that you neither lose weight nor gain excessive amounts. The fact that you can feel the baby's movements is very good, and a good indication that all is progressing well. Also being a little large or small for dates isn't hugely significant either, particularly once you've passed about 26w, as the baby's growth in the last trimester relates fairly closely to the parents' sizes. As you're fairly small you wouldn't expect (or want! ) to have a huge baby.

Thanks everyone - I am probably just looking for something to worry about and you've all put my mind at rest!
