Have any of you been having loads of dreams since falling pregnant? I am dreaming so many times a night that i feel exhausted when i wake up.

I can't remember being this tired last time round. i am struggling to get through each day, especially with a toddler to keep up with.

Has anyone got any suggestions for a dreamless sleep, or remedies to tackle 1st trimester fatigue?

no caffeine if at all possible

bananas - do they help sleep , vitamin b??

get a good book to help you nod off and hopefully settle the REM.

a walk if possible in theevening prior to slleep , if s.o can mind your toddler for you

I feel for you - had exact same situation in first trimester, along with all-night nausea. Nothing made that much difference, to be honest, except lowering my expectations of myself during the day...and time. All much bettter after 14 weeks, for, me, till the last week or so - now dreaming lots and knackered again at 22 weeks!

know how you feel boosta I am having some very weird dreams
I remember it from previous pregnancies but this time round it's too hot and I have two lively pre schoolers who have nothing to do hanging around all day too!
Gettting off to sleep is OK - it's just the disturbed night that are doing the damage

My only suggestion is patience! I mentioned to MW that I was REALLY tired this time around, and she tactfully pointed out that I have two boys to run round after AND I'm older than last time I was pg! She's such a diplomat!

It does get better, though hasn't followed any pattern for me this time around - think heat in second trimester did for me, so now it's cooled down a bit, I'm a bit more lively though into third trimester now and fearing the tiredness rearing it's ugly head again.

Can't help with dreams at all - started off having erotic dreams - am now having erotic dreams at one end of the night and nightmares at the other end of the night - probably eating too much of the wrong thing...

I had this problem a while ago and hypnotherapy worked a treat, all very odd going to the sessions at first but I was amazed at the results

Am in my first pregnancy and also experience so many dreams (some amusing; others disturbing but generally just tiring) that I feel like I need extra sleep when I wake.

In first trimester, I found a half hour catnap early evening was useful (having never been a catnapper before) - could anyone keep an eye on your toddler to let you do this?

My really funny/weird dream was that I dreamed every time I had an ante-natal appointment, they brought my baby out, let me hold it for a while (and I remember my first really maternal feeling at this bit) and then 'zip it away again' until the next one!! No, despite what you may think, no drugs/caffeine/weird foods!!!!!!!

had another weird one again last night. My Mum was really annoying me (nothing new there) so I ran away from her.... really fast and just kept running til I knew hse wouldn't be able to find me. I was shattered when I woke up!
