To be honest I haven't had a good night's sleep since I got pregnant but it seems even worse now. Up every 2 hours to pee and at around 3am the restless legs will kick in and I can't get back to sleep at all. I end up listening to podcasts but it means I'm totally knackered all the time. Any tips??

Feel your pain. I'm 32wks and decent sleep has eluded me for weeks. One thing which has recently helped, I bought a v pillow and shove one end between my legs and rest bump on the other. Seems to help with SPD and heavy bump. I don't have the peeing issue....but possibly not drinking enough! I've heard bananas are good for restless legs?

oooh I might try the bananas. Before I got pregnant I ate a banana every day. I have gone off them a bit but might be worth trying again now that sickness has gone. Thanks!

Hi, I'm nearly 30 weeks and I'm having a real problem staying asleep. I wake up for the toilet, struggle out of bed and then when I'm back it can take me up to 90 minutes to get back to sleep (if I manage it at all). Either I'm lying awake unable to switch my brain off (worrying about childbirth normally!!) or I just can't get comfortable. I sleep for a while and then I need the toilet again so the cycle restarts.

So, in summary - I feel your pain OP!!

(And if one more person says something to me along the lines of: "you think you're tired now, wait until the baby comea

Fail!

"...comes along" then they're going to get a very sharp response!)

I had the same in my pregnancies with RLS, insomnia and 5 toilet trips a night. The only thing that helped me with the restless legs was to avoid lying down before I wanted to sleep. Bouncing or just sitting on a birthing/exercise ball in the evenings eases the symptoms a little bit as do multivitamins. But the only solution is to give birth unfortunately. My baby is 12 days old and even though he wakes every 2-3 hours I sleep much better than I did during pregnancy.

Thingymajigs, good to know that birth will help a bit. I am SO looking forward to losing the heartburn as well!!

Crepe: yes! You can't say anything can you? I also get, 'It's good practise for when the baby comes' argh!! Equally annoying are the people who lie their heads off and tell me I look fantastic and I'm 'blooming' when I know I look like 40 shades of newbornbabypoop. lol

32 weeks and EXHAUSETD. Today I've got up from having what feels like 0 sleep and all I've done is shower and get dressed. Want to go back to bed already...Confused

I am so happy that it's Saturday. My house is a complete tip and daughter will watch youtube all day if I don't stop her, but I am going back to bed really soon because if I don't I will probably injure myself boiling the kettle or something. Zombie! lol
