Once my LO arrived, there seemed lots of things I could have done that I didnt. I am now ttc again and thinking of things I could do in this pregnancy/labour that I didnt do/know the first time round.

So far, Ive got

*take regular bump photos
*research waterbirths
*learn hypbobirthing techniques
*attend somesort of antenatal fitness class (currently zumba which will probs stop when I get my bfp)

I'm pregnant with dc2 and for me it's watching my weight more with this pregnancy, try not to put on 3 stone!!!

Also, keeping as active as my spd allows, having my DS helps there though.

Post birth - start to lose the weight when I feel ready but don't leave it too long!

I realise these are weight related mostly but that's what I struggle/d with last time and I don't want to be in the same position with this one!

I've read a lot more about birth prep this time (pg with Dc4). The Ina May book I have just read was pretty inspiring with regard to what your body can do...not everyone's cup of tea but I'd like a home-birth this time so I found it quite good prep for that.

I'm a lot more relaxed this time, I am going to be a bit more organised and plan further ahead because I know how disorganised the house will become once the baby arrives.

Spend as much quality time with DC1 as possible as its so hard to have 1 to 1 time once the second arrives!

I am now on my 3rd pregnancy and it has turned out much different to the others because of complications. However I don't regret anything from my previous pregnancies. I had some idea of no pain killers with both of them but always ended up screaming for them once contractions really took hold...complete wimp! Lol
This time I wont go into labour at all so that's not on the cards anyway. It's an amazing time for anyone and one thing I am doing more this time is writing down sensations and feelings so I don't forget what it felt like to grow a little life. Good luck with your plans.. enjoy every minute x

Enjoy the end part. I had a really good pregnancy. Was still walking a few miles even in labour. I went to 42+1 and felt fine. I wish I'd relaxed and enjoyed it rather than spending the whole time desperate to go into labour.

Oh and I wish we'd filmed the birth!

I spent the whole of my last pregnancy worried about the `what ifs' and was always convinced something would go wrong - the internet is not my friend in the matters. This time I'm much more relaxed and not pushing myself into home birth, real nappies and bfing. I'm also enjoying the second trimester instead of wishing it away, it is the best bit.
