I got my BFP on Christmas eve and am between 7-9 weeks pregnant I think...havent got my dating scan until 5th feb. I just dont feel pregnant...apart from a tiny bit of bloating and nausea I just feel normal, I.e. not pregnant!!!! When does it all start feelin real? Also, I've got a blood clotting disorder called factor v leiden. When I saw the midwife a fortnight ago she said I would b referred to a consultant but I've heard nothing yet. Have looked at a few threads on here where people were prescribed aspirin and heparin...should I b worried?

My sister has factor v Leiden and she had to self inject throughout her pregnancy

From day one or after her 12 week scan? I dont know whether to call my midwife and remind her about referring me?

You could speak with GP and ask him/her to contact haematologist at local hospital to ask their advice, most run an email helpline. Then you could get treatment started if need be.

Just penny I'm now 12 weeks and have had hardly any symptoms, same as you really, bit of nausea, tired and bloating. Had my scan this week and there's a little one moving around in there. I think we are just lucky. Reading some of the ms stories I'm glad I'm not suffering

I would call to chase them.

I have factor V and II and I self injected with fragmin for all pregnancies. You need to get a consultant to take a view on whether you need to have anticoagulants given the increased fisk of thrombosis caused by the pregnancy and your existing condition.

I assume you don't take warfarin/ aspirin ordinarily?

No I dont take anything normally...only found out I had it really late in my last pregnancy (8 yrs ago) so was too late for treatment. I heamorrghaged when I gave birth tho and had to have a blood transfusion and then inject heparin for 6 wks afterwards. Im worried because my nan has had dvts and my dad has very recently been hospitalised with clots on his lungs. Im a stresshead at the best of times so my family history plus my lack of symptoms is worryin me a bit. I thinj I'll call my midwife monday...better safe than sorry eh?! xx

I would chase up the aspirin and heparin ... They usually start it pretty early. If worried, see your local epu and ask them... As soon as they hear factor v they may well prescribe!

Also, dont fret about symptoms - they vary wildly. E.g. when my mum had twins, she had no morning sickness!

I'm 9+3 and the only symptom I have had is sore boobs, which have now calmed down considerably. I haven't had even a hint of nausea and energy levels have been pretty much normal.
