Signs of pre-term labour or normal stuff... pretty worried

I'm 32 weeks pregnant with DC2 and on Saturday night I was certain I was going into labour. I was having very regular (maybe every 10 mins) contractions lasting about 30 s. Although not very painful, they had that very unstoppable, machine-like feeling that I remember about early labour with DC1. I lay in bed wondering when to wake DH, but then after around an hour and a half of this, it stopped.

On Sunday I had a 3D scan and she told me that the baby was very low - apparently they couldn't see the back of her head at all, but I've no idea how 'engaged' this equates to. I already guessed she was quite engaged a week ago by that heavy feeling (DC1 never engaged until labour).
On Sunday night the cramps happened again but this time lasted less than an hour.

Then on Monday I got quite sick and by Tuesday had to go to the GP. He guessed a sickness bug bit my BP was slightly raised (in the normal zone, but higher than my norm) and he wasn't convinced about my urine sample (he didn't elaborate) so he sent me for some bloods and a second urine sample to the lab. I get the results tomorrow.

Since then, the sickness has got better and I'm getting painful cramps but not regularly - I can't tell if they are baby or digestive from the tummy bug. Sometimes I get a very heavy feeling pushing downstairs and I've suddenly started getting mucus. Should I worry. I feel well enough to go to work tomorrow but am I being an idiot going (the results won't be ready until after I get there).

We had Ofsted last week and I'm worried that the mental stress and physical exertion has set me into preterm labour. DS, although term, was quite small and ill when born so I really want a massive, healthy, late baby :(

Its probably just Braxton Hicks, but I would definitely get town to maternity and speak to a midwife in the morning. Its always better to get checked out.

Yes, call the labour ward and ask for advice and press to go in and get checked out. If the baby is coming early they can give you drugs to strengthen the babies lungs or even try and halt the contractions I think so best get it checked. The symptoms you've described really do need checking out properly, please call them ASAP.

Another vote for getting checked out by a midwife. Hope all is ok.
