I'm 29+5 with my first so please excuse daft questions, measuring 2 weeks larger at last appointment a few weeks ago, i'm not the thinnest person in the world either if that changes things
Experiencing back pain and what i assume to be some sort of practice contractions for several week's, feels like whole bump tightening going hard for varying times, eases if i walk round
LO is usually very regular with movements and has a hissy fit if i lay on my back and i also sleep on my left side constantly always have done
(don't know how much of that is relevant but it covers pretty much everything just in case)

For the past few days i have been having some very painful . . . cramps? spasms? on the bump, they don't cover the whole area, tends to be 90% on the same spot on the left hand side, enough to make me stop moving and hold bump
movement wise since the pains started she hasn't been as regular in moments, she's still kicking hell out of me in the evenings but during the day shes doing more stretching, it feels like the movements are lower down than before as well like shes knocking on my pelvis hello anybody out there?
Because shes still active im not too worried on that point i think in all honestly shes running out of room in there and/or moved to an awkward position
feeling stretched/sore in the nether regions to cap it all as well

So after all that typing my question is, Do i need to contact my midwife about this as im not seeing her again till 6th feb? or am i just being a daft first timer and should get on with the laundry Grin

This happened to me from around 26 weeks. The baby may just be lying on a nerve and the tightening sound like Braxton hicks, I had these continuously until I was induced! But if you are in any way worried phone the MW it is what she is there for! Best to put your mind at ease rather than u worrying.

Ring your midwife... In all honesty I don't think it sounds like anything you need to be concerned about, but you will sit there worrying until your next appointment otherwise, and part of your midwife's job is to reassure you. She may just talk to you or she may send you to have the heartbeat monitored but it's always worth ringing if you're not sure!

Well i called the midwife and she squeezed me in this morning Smile

The pain is apparently likely to be muscular which makes sense and shes given me some exercises to do to help it

Apparently lack of movement is explained because LO ones head has dropped into my pelvis . . . not really sure what that means so time for some research me thinks x
