Pretty straightforward question really. Are the "offers" etc that they send you of any real use or is it just going to be yet more spam?

I signed up and bought a pack of nappies to get a free changing bag. The bag is small and nothing special. Not received any other offers, but I'm not sure if you have to shop regularly at boots to get these.

scissy · 17/01/2014 17:28

So I've had offers for money off wipes, nappies, baby clothes, pouches and snacks at age appropriate times. It's worth it if you shop for those things at boots, esp. as you get 10 points per £1 for all baby items except formula. If you're using reusable nappies+wipes, never buying pre-packed baby food or follow-on formula then probably not.

I signed up and bought the push chair and car seat through them. By the time I'd got 10 points per pound it often worked out cheaper than places like kiddicare. Was definitely worth it when we managed to get the jumperoo and play mat for virtually nothing using our points.

CrispyFB · 17/01/2014 19:19

Yes, if you're prepared to juggle bonus points around you can end up with some reasonable savings. Boots aren't the cheapest, but the extra points on baby things can make it more competitive.

Mikkii · 17/01/2014 19:20

I use them for some baby stuff, but usually purchase with my regular supermarket shop.

The 10 points per £ on baby producers is useful.

Also DC3 was premature and Boots was the only place I could buy size 0 nappies.

greentshirt · 17/01/2014 19:22

Im despo for my voucher to finally turn up, I want to start getting stuff! I like juggling points, i've already got a bouncing chair with my normal points I had saved up. As long as you will use the points its essentially 10% off what you are going to buy anyway.

The pampers for example are 2 jumbo packs for £20 at the moment, same offer as tescos but you would get £2 worth of points for those too.

darkdays · 17/01/2014 19:23

I would say yes, all the points I get go on treats for me!

MrsMillions · 17/01/2014 19:25

I got a voucher for half price glasses last summer, didn't need new everyday ones at the time but saved a fortune on prescription sunglasses. Since then DD has taken to grabbing at my specs and the paint has chipped off, really want another voucher!

FairyTrain · 17/01/2014 19:27

I bought my double buggy through Boots with points & vouchers.i spent a long time researching where was cheapest at the time and saved loads buying through boots.

Mintberry · 17/01/2014 19:41

Are the deals that good though? It makes me wonder if it would be cheaper to just buy the same things at superdrug or somewhere cheaper.

Although, I wasn't considering big things like buggies, Fairy just things like nappies and wipes, so maybe that changes it.

stargirl1701 · 17/01/2014 19:44

Not for us. We used cloth nappies, reusable wipes, second hand baby clothes and chose BLW. So, not much to offer from Boots Grin

mummytobejuly2014 · 17/01/2014 19:47

what are the best clubs to join for rewards?

PurplePidjin · 17/01/2014 19:54

Same as Scissy and stargirl - if you breastfeed, cook your own food and use reusable nappies/wipes you're pretty stuffed. That said, they do include Easyfits in their 3for2 offers which brings them down to preloved prices (4p per use btw, on one child for 2 years ) so do mothercare on miosolos which work better for us

SqutterNutBaush · 17/01/2014 22:34

As other posters have said we use cloth nappies and wipes, breastfeed as well as making our own food so not really worth it for us other than extra points which we get occassionally.

Although coincidentally we did buy a pram from them but it was broken so returned it and although they refunded cash they never took back the £30 worth of points we got for it :o

The bag is crap!
