Piles, is this a joke?

I'm 37 weeks and had the worst possible pregnancy. All the worst symptoms, including acne, sickness, heartburn, no glow, no cravings. Tiredness, incontinence, and tonight, i felt piles down below! I want to scream. Could it get any worse?! Piles can be treated with medication right?

Yep, it's delightful but you can buy the cream in any supermarket!

The way you say Piles, is this a joke. Let me tell you there is NOTHING funny about piles! They are the bane of my life. The only thing that works for me I'd keeping your poo as soft as possible drink loads of water and porridge tinned grapefruit is my favorite for keeping me regular. Good luck with it all.

I'll see your piles not literally and raise you vulval varicose veins!

I had horrific piles after giving birth, monster piles honestly, I thought they were there to stay, but the cream really does work! After a couple of weeks they were completely gone! Definitely agree with prune juice, fybogel etc to keep things moving in the meantime.

I got piles with dd2 and they fucking hurt like hell!! I was advised to put calpol on them when they hurt. Sounds odd but it does work.

Get yourself to the pharmacy and get some cream ASAP. Mine were gone in a few days but I was terrifies of them returning during the labour with her but ended up having a emcs.

I agree with pp, keep stools as soft as possible with prunes, plenty of fruit and veggies plus plenty of water.

Good luck op,

Snap Saggy! 4th Preg & my varicose veins 'down there' are hideous. Are yours painful? Are your MW concerned they'll impact on delivery? I've now been told I'm high risk for DVT (age 38/4th preg & my lovely veins). But I'm really hoping for another water birth at local MLU, & this tick box chart could change all that…...

Oh yes, isn't pregnancy glamorous? My piles grew to enormous size from the pushing in labour - a friend told me to fill condoms with water and freeze them to use as ice packs and it worked amazingly well to shrink them. Helped with my tear as well.

Not painful thankfully. I'm just a little asymmetrical down there! Confused
I havent shown it to anyone yet. I googled and it seems quite common and it doesn't hurt so I didn't bother!
I might tell the midwife next time I see one at the same time as I show them my weird breast too! Sad

Lactulose. I have a post-birth fissure (ouch cry ouch) and it's really helping to keep everything soft if you know what I mean. Also using Germaloids cream which is soothing. Both suitable for pg and bf thank goodness. Do mention the piles to your midwife.
