Is EM sickness predictable?

What I mean by the title is, if for example you have got sick in the past from hormone changes (e.g. from taking the Pill, or coming off the Pill, or what have you) are you more likely to suffer from pregnancy-related sickness?

Or does it seem to be completely random? What are your experiences?

Just so I know what to expect Grin I've got a mild phobia of vomiting and just want to know if I should get over that quickly or whether I might be able to avoid it.

Hi there, I was convinced I'd get bad morning sickness based on the fact that I was VERY sick the one time I took the morning-after pill, and my friend who wasn't at all sick from the MAP had sailed through two pregnancies with no sickness. Also have a mild vomiting phobia so I understand where you're coming from! I never felt or was sick on the normal (combined) Pill though.

Now 31 weeks with first pregnancy, and my theory was completely wrong... I had a little nausea between weeks 7 and 10, completely manageable by making sure I ate little and often, and never actually vomited. No nausea at all after 12 weeks (except when I got a stomach bug just before Christmas!)

Can't promise it will be the same for you, but I hope so!

I hadn't thrown up for about 15 years when got pregnant - NOTHING made me sick - had horrendous all day sickness for 20 weeks when got pregnant though. Sorry!
