Shopping for pushchair for twins .... Despair!!!

Spent the afternoon looking for a pushchair for twins that I can fit 2 cars seats onto plus can use from newborn (fine if with addl carry cots). Didn't really think I was asking for that much really but seems I am! Can't seem to find a shop that actually has any made up with the necessary attachments.

Went to kiddicare who had the baby jogger city select but had no carrycots to go with it or car seat attachments ... They're answer was you can order online - yeah thanks Einstein cause I didn't realise that!

Then went to baby baby who had the icandy but didn't have any double ones made up - when I asked all I got was ... Well I'd have to get the extra bits out of the box! Why would I spend over £1,000 if they can't be arsed to get it out of the box and show me it first?

Don't these people know you shouldn't mess with a pregnant woman!!!

Any recommendations from anyone who has twin pushchair that can fit car seats onto would be extremely appreciated.

My friend has a mountain buggy duet. Am sure you can get car seat attachment. Same width as single buggy I believe. Plus big wheels to help with distribution of weight as they get older.

Jane Powertwin! I used mine almost daily for nearly 4 years, and it's now on it's 3rd set of twins (not mine, I hasten to add!)
I think they also do one now that has carrycot attachments.

My friend has a bugaboo donkey for her twins that I lust over. It has carry cots too, and you can buy car seat adaptors. It can also transform to a single buggy too. Lush. Cost about £1,200 though but has warenty for 5 years I think x

Oh and the carry cots can be used independently of the pram frame so no need for Moses baskets x

Mountain buggy duet fan here! Much cheaper than the donkey and narrower. It's heavy when folded but I think this is the reality of doubles....

Mountain buggy vote here as well. I didn't use carrycots with it, with the mb sleeping bags & sheepskin liners they were nice and cosy in there from the beginning.

Bugaboo donkey! I love mine. Have you got a John Lewis you can visit? They tend to have all of the double buggies all made up to look at.

I second John Lewis for testing out buggies, they tend to have more "made up" so that you can test them out and seem more helpful than some other stores at letting you mess about with them putting in carrycots and car sears etc. I love the Bugaboo Donkey, although pricey and you need a big car boot to fit in, it's all singing all dancing kind of pram/buggy!

There is no better double than the Bugaboo Donkey in my opinion. It is amazing.

I would definitely try and find somewhere else that has the city select on display, the best twin option available IMO. Which kiddicare did you go to? They had the whole lot on display in the main Peterborough store when I was there a couple of months ago

Where are you based. In Scotland the pram centre is amazing. They can't do enough demonstration wise.

The city select is an amazing double buggy.

I went to the kiddicare in Croydon. Shame about the pram centre - I'm actually from Edinburgh but live in bromley so a bit far to travel for that one! Planning on trying the big John Lewis at bluewater next

Hi OP, I went to kiddicare about 3 weeks ago to look at the city select and we loved it. We don't have a massive car so the Bugaboo donkey was out for us. The city select folds down really well and can have car seats, carrycots etc.

It might be worth trying another kiddicare. The one we went to at merryhill was fab and let us spend loads of time looking at different combinations, trying it in the car with the car seats etc.

same dilemma here, but buying for 2 year old & newborn. I have done LOADS of research online & have decided an unheard of US double called Stroll Air My Duo. however I have no option but to buy then try buy the one company who sell them here have said that's all fine! fingers crossed. have a look online. I'm normally a sucker for the name so usually icandy or bugaboo though but this pushchair looks amazing. .. and fits into our car, without having to convert back to a single everytime!!

Oh MrsRV I'm looking at the Stroll Air too, when will you be getting it? I'd love to hear how it stands up, I'll have a 16mth age gap when number two arrives in July.

Expectingtwins, I'll admit I haven't read other peoples suggestions but have you been into john Lewis? They have an anniversary offer on the icandy apple2pear, it's £595 for the chassis, stroller seat x 1, carry cot x 1, mosquito nets, rain covers, pip converters. Obviously you'd have to get a second seat etc, but it worked out half the price with the offer that was on. Just an idea congrats by the way!

flylikeabird... ordering next month I think. DD2 due in May but we need time to play & make sure we actually want to keep it... and find another pushchair if we don't!!!

I've just got an obaby zoom which is for my newborn & 16 month old. Can manage two carrycots/car seats also though. It's really long though. My friend is expecting twins and has ordered the oyster max - which is compact & really lovely. You can mix & match the colours too if you are having a girl & boy. If money was no object id have an icandy peach blossom 2 or the new stokke one. Bugaboo lovely, but wheels too small and it's too wide.

And congratulations ExpectingTwins I hope you find some 'real life' prams to look at soon. It's an inconvenience traipsing around at the best of times but pregnant with twins must be much tougher. Can't believe the Baby Baby staff were so indifferent!

Mountain buggy is amazing! I found a double one mucheasier to use than single bugaboo. It's super durable and cheaper too.

Definitely look at oyster max! Great price and options for car seats carry cots and many other combinations!
We've got it ready for when ds2 arrives as ds1 will be 12 months
