Worried about lack of symptoms :(

I'm six weeks pregnant today, according to four home pregnancy tests over the last week. It would be our second and I was surprised to have caught in our very first month of ttc (it took eight months last time).

However, I have got absolutely no symptoms whatsoever. Last week, I felt a little nauseous and dizzy every now and then and I was feeling quite bloated but all of that has gone now. Well, maybe I still feel a little bloated but not like last week. I'm not peeing loads or have headaches but I also don't have a pain and there's no blood.

With DC1, I was sick as a dog from about three weeks - to the point of having to allow myself another half an hour to get to work because of the sickness :O

Is this normal to have completely no signs whatsoever, even though in my last pregnancy, I was horrifically ill?

I'm so worried that this is going to end in MMC and I will have the horror of looking at a black screen at the 12 week scan :( I've no experience of MC but I seem to be really convinced this is what might be happening.

Please let me know if you've experienced anything like this x

Yes it's completely and totally normal. Try and stop worrying. All will be well Smile

Notaddictedtosugar · 10/01/2014 13:09

Yes it is normal. My only real symptom of pregnancy was a growing belly, and a baby at the end of it.

LucyB1 · 10/01/2014 13:09

I had no symptoms at all. don't worry

Notaddictedtosugar · 10/01/2014 13:11

Oh and you do realise that now you have posted this you are almost guaranteed to spend the next 6 months throwing up constantly don't you? Grin

broodylicious · 10/01/2014 13:16

Haha sugar very probably! I don't want to wish for 24/7 sickness, like I had with dd, but I am just so weirded out by the fact I feel ok at this stage. I don't even feel too much more tired than usual (dd is not a sleeper, only slept through once in 21 months, but that's a whole other thread on its own!)
Thanks guys xx

Broody: I read that morning sickness are a lot worse for women expecting their first babies. Please try not to worry, I am feeling sick 24/7 at the moment and I would love to be in your shoes and have my life back, feeling so miserable :s
Your body is probably used to the surge of hormones because you've done it all before, a little bit like once you've had a jab your body knows what it's dealing with. Please try not to worry, there is no reason why you more than any of us should have a MC xxx

Totally normal!

In fact I could have written your post 2 years ago.

I was so worried I had a private scan at 8 weeks and was delighted to see my DS heart beating away.

I had honestly believed I would be told there was nothing there and I had imagined the whole thing.

Good lunck with your pregnancy and just count yourself lucky you are not suffering with morning sickness. Although I appreciate that the reassurance would be nice.

Broody, i'm 17 weeks now and havent had a single (typical) smythom yet. No nausea, nothing. Only for having regular periods i will wouldnt realise i'm pregnant. Hve had 3 scans and i definitely am, infact they keep telling me he's about 4 days ahead of gestation and measuring large.

Dont wish the nausea on yourself!
although i rememeber being worried at your stage too. Ihad a 9 week scan i was so worried! and ether it was, heart beating away..

broodylicious · 10/01/2014 18:19

Thanks everyone. I do feel a little more reassured now. I'd love to get a private scan just to see that heartbeat but dh would not be happy at all because of the expense. Once Ive had the 12 week scan, my mind will be at rest. I hope. Who am I kidding?! These babies are a cause of worry from before they're even conceived and into forever!
