Sleep bra / nursing bra for bigger boobs?

I am a 32H, give or take, and need to invest in some scaffolding.

I'm 25 weeks pregnant and the yoga tops that I have been using as sleep bras are no longer doing the job - boobs keep falling out when I lie down! So I need something soft that will keep me in place during the night, especially as my boobs have been a bit sore. If this something can also double up as a nursing bra at some point over the next 12 months then so much the better.

As for actual nursing bras... I bought mine from Bravissimo last time. They technically fitted, but gave me a sweaty mono-boob for the last few weeks of my pregnancy and then for a year of breastfeeding my DS. I find Bravissimo great for non-pregnancy bras but their maternity range is somewhat limited. I'm sure I can do better this time round but at £25+ per bra I don't really want to experiment with too many random brands and styles! So I need some recommendations please...

TIA.

I was a 32g pre pregnancy and bought a bravado nursing bra to sleep in at about 8 weeks. I had to bodge the sizing a bit as they only go up to an F or something silly.

Not supportive enough to leave the house in, but great for sleeping and nursing in the night.

I'm now a 34j and in a bravissimo fitted Royce nursing bra. I'm not struggling with mono boob as such, but I definitely have sweaty crumb infested cleavage Shock

The only bra I found comfortable and remotely decent looking was this Freya one:

Sorry I can't remember how to do links on my phone!

Anyway I had that in a 32G and it was the only one that didn't make my boobs look like a saggy loaf of bread. I ordered it direct from Freya I think.

I found that Royce ones just were not comfortable at all once my ribs had gone back to normal - the 34 band one I had at the beginning was ok but when I started shrinking a bit and went down to a 32 band (all fitted at bravissimo) they just weren't supportive enough. The Freya one does a good "lift and separate" job as well IMO.

I absolutely hate nursing bras - sweaty monoboob, as you say, even in the best ones. I'm about your size, so my solution was to just buy my normal Freya and Fantasie bras in the correct size, and convert them myself, you can find nursing bra clips on ebay for example. Much better, I promise.

For sleeping, have you tried Bravissimo PJs with support? Or Royce Blossom nursing bra is really soft and will get you through the first days, before boobs settle down and you can get decent bras.

I'm a 38K and found this Bravado bra the best sleep bra as it's the only sleep bra I found that went up to the larger sizes: www.bras4mums.co.uk/bravado-custom-original-nursing-bra-2957-p.asp

This is the best nursing bra I found: www.bras4mums.co.uk/royce-jasmine-nursing-bra-6984-p.asp

They are also very good about exchanging or offering advice about sizing or styles over the phone if the first one you get isn't quite right.

Am 32E and found Genie bras very comfy for sleeping in. (Also may act as handy contraceptive device after the baby is born as they are completely unsexy and granny-ish Wink )

Jammie - they both look amazing!

I'm using a similar bravado one, but one that only comes in S/M/L/XL so I had to do up a few back sizes to allow for the larger cup.

The nursing bra looks like you get two actual boobs as well.

Think I'll be buying both!

I find them both really comfortable Anything and I never thought I'd say that about a non-wired bra! The bravado was a brilliant buy and great for sleeping as well as for around the house.

Thank you - it's good to get a website recommendation too, there are so many out there Smile

I must say that my cleavage starts to feel sweaty when I just start to look at non-underwired bras. I think I will invest in a couple of stretchy ones for the early days when your boobs are all over the place and then just adapt some well fitted underwired ones.

It really annoys me that the sleep and nursing (and sports, for that matter) bras don't often go up to very large sizes... surely we are the ones that need them the most?!

Same problem here - I get the mono boob with most.
Was a 32F before this pregnancy but now (at nearly 40w) back up to 32/34K.
One of my favourite nursing bras in terms of support is an NCT one; very plain and black and sturdy, but does a good job fighting gravity! It wasn't even very expensive, just NCT own brand. Have a look at their online shop.
