Does this sound like SPD?

I really don't know that much about SPD. I'm only 13 weeks pregnant so not sure if it's to early for Symptoms anyway.
So the pain is mostly in my lower right hand side of my back, my right hip and bum check. It's worse when iv been sitting on a hard chair. And takes a while to get going but once I'm moving it does seem to ease.

It sounds like pregnancy girdle pain which is like spd but is felt where you describe.

Mine started at 15 weeks so not too early.

The problem I had was that I could not get referred to a pregnancy physio until 28 weeks and had to go to a normal one (referred by mw) but they were useless and did not understand the condition.

Things that helped were sleeping as flat as I could with legs slightly bent and wheat pads on the hips.

I'll have a read up on that then. Thanks for replaying x

Pillow between the knees in bed really helps as well.. keeps things straighter.

I have both SPD and the pain you describe, I think the two are interconnected. Certainly the root cause is the same (too much relaxin). I have a crutch (single) given to me by a physio (private) that I use on the opposite side to the pain which does not relieve the pain but means I can walk a little longer before being in agony.

Unfortunately it rarely gets better before birth, only worse. This is DC4 and I'm 28 weeks now. Mine starts hurting first trimester and becomes life-limiting usually around 15-20 weeks. By the third trimester it's essential very short journeys only, the car becomes my best friend. Other people don't get it so bad and some get it worse but there's no way to know how you will be!

Sounds like how mine started - I have a hot water bottle on my back pretty much all the time I'm seated and find it really helps. Get a pregnancy pillow to help you keep your hips in line when you sleep at night. Otherwise as your bump gets bigger the problem may get worse with more strain being put on your pelvic joints. If the pain doesn't ease over the next few weeks I'd get your GP to refer you to a physio. My PGP kicked in at 17 weeks and it has only worsened. A physio has been helpful in showing me simple exercises to strengthen my glutes as well as pelvic floor exercises to help strengthen those muscles which in theory stops the problem worsening and helps with the pain. I wish I'd gone to a physio earlier!

Sounds like your sacro-illiac joint that is causing the problem, rather than the symphysis pubis. The sacro-illiac joints are the joints that join the back of your pelvis to the spine.

It could well be pelvic-girdle pain. I would recommend going to see a chiropractor or an osteopath especially as it has started so early.

www.pelvicpartnership.org.uk might be able to help you find someone in your area.

HTH.
