Can anyone recommend a good maternity pillow?

Theraline pillow - it's amazing. Bean bag filling so you can really manipulate it to fit you and for different positions, unlike foam. (Avoid dream genii - too thin to be effective when you get massive, not versatile enough)

I really hated my dreamgenni twice! I tried and failed both pregnancies to use them. Think it was because I was short. It just didn't work.

I'm not impressed with the Dream Genii so am glad I picked it up for half the price at TKM. It might work as a feeding pillow though.

I bought a dream genii and it changed my life. Can finally sleep comfortably! www.johnlewis.com/dreamgenii-maternity-and-nursing-pillow/p230519017

Tried a v-shaped one from John Lewis previously and hated it

I'm short and used a dream genii and it was brilliant! I couldn't sleep without it. I also had a normal pillow under my hips and feet too. On the occasions I was away from home and didn't take it, I was much more uncomfortable using several normal pillows.

I got a U shaped pillow off Amazon and other than taking up the whole of the bed and my boyfriend having all of an inch of bed to himself I found it comfy for a week before hating it and it's now under the bed out of the way. I just use normal pillows for support. One wedged by my back, another between my legs. Much easier than the big pillows and can still get cuddles in the night :)

I've got the Theraline and love it - it's a very gentle V that can be really easily manipulated. I'm quite tall, so its length is fab as I can have it under my head and bump and providing really good support to my legs as well. I'm also finding it brilliant as a cushion to keep me upright and supported on the sofa etc.

RubyGoat · 06/01/2014 00:10

I just used normal pillows. One between my knees, one under my bump (slept on my side, facing away from DH).

I use the Mothercare one; the long one with sections for head, bump and legs and it's amazing!

Squeeeee Amazon order of my theraline pillow arrived TODAY! I'm so excited. Heard good reviews. Like how the beanie middle moves easily.

I got it for £28, they are £45RRP but I decided I didn't care for a trendy cover, mine has a yellow flowery cover. Will try to report back tomorrow ! I'm pretty shattered after first day back at work. I'm 22 weeks now btw

notoneforselfies · 06/01/2014 22:38

You'll love it clearlymoo. Smile I found it's great to put a bit under your head then wedge some under the bump, between your thighs then pull the bottom bit round to support your back to stop you rolling onto it and waking up gasping for oxygen!

Mim78 · 07/01/2014 14:28

I have this:

www.amazon.co.uk/PILLOW-PLEASURE-MATERNITY-SUPPORT-COTTON/dp/B004T31A8U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1389104816&sr=8-1&keywords=maternity+pil

It is so brilliant I cannot recommend it enough. It is really long on each side so you can wrap your legs around it. I have been told that I need a pillow between my knees while sleeping for my back so this just does the job!

If the link doesn't work just put maternity pillow into search on amazon and it will come up - called "pillow pleasure".

ClearlyMoo · 07/01/2014 21:55

Theraline beady pillow night one = success!! 7hrs sleep in one go! Amazing (first time in months)!

Julietee · 07/01/2014 22:00

I use a dual system comprising the theraline and dream genii. Used to find the dream genii great, but now at 33 weeks it's losing it's padding somewhat and isn't fat enough to make a huge difference. Theraline is great though! If huge.
