Hello ladies.

At 16 I fell pregnant, and due to personal reasons and age etc had a termination just before three months.
During those three months, I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum (morning sickness where you just want to die) and I lost two stone, didnt leave the house for two months, and barely showered as I physically could not move.

I am now 23, in a loving relationship and ready for babies! (Not until we get a new place to live in, so it wont be just yet!) But I am absolutely terrified of how my body is going to react to the sickness.
I have two jobs, both very demanding and dealing with other people. I know most employers are flexible with pregnant ladies and if you need time off then usually its fine, but im so worried about having to take off literally months.

If anyone has any advice regarding...well, any of it, and how to deal with sickness, employers, my worries, I will be eternally grateful!!

Thank you :-)

Hi Hun This is my first pregnancy I'm 25 weeks and still have a bit of sickness and I understand your worries, I want two or three children but the thought of having HG again is totally put me off. Even my hubby is understanding as he has seen how ill I have been.

My friend also had HG in her first preg but with her second she didn't.

So there is no def that we will get to it again. But it does make me want to curl up in a ball just at the thought of it.

I suppose the wanting of a child with take over the fears about sickness child birth etc. Depends how much we want a baby.

I think if I do deciede to have another and do get sickness this bad again I will no how to manage it a bit more eating little and often, sea bands going to the docs quicker and asking for help.

As for work that's a tricky one I suffered without any sick days as I felt better keeping busy than staying at home, but the throught of doing that again scares me,

Maybe speak to a doctor about your fears they may help you prepare for sickness and then you won't feel so alone.

I think one of huge hardest things is other people understanding how horrific it really is. The people who treated me the worse was a women who's had 4 kids but because she didn't get any sickness she looked at me as if I should just stop whinging and get on with it. Easy said than done.

Wish you all the luck in the world. The thing that got me through the worst sickness is the fact April I will have a little boy to hold, and that makes me feel better.

Also meant to add with work I ended up telling work I was preg 5 weeks because i was running to the loo every 15 mins lol they have been very understanding and helpful and have helped me out when throwing my guts up lol so as long as u don't suffer in silence it will be better.

I also told work early because if I did need any sick days I wouldn't be lying to them they would know why I was off
