Interviewing while heavily pregnant

Would you disclose details about your pregnancy during a face-to-face interview?

I'm interviewing with Barclays and Santander next week, and I'll be 32 weeks pregnant. My bump is very visible, and I'm also concerned that my suits don't fit anymore!

Are interviewers allowed to ask about my pregnancy?
If they aren't allowed to ask, but do anyway, how should I respond?
Should I disclose my due date and how much leave I intend to take?

Discrimination is really difficult to prove in this situation, as they will no doubt find another reason for not progressing my application. I feel the chances of success are slim (because I will certainly have maternity leave, whereas other candidates may not), but at least I get interview practice and I better understand the challenges working mothers face.

They'd have to give another reason for delaying my start date - surely they cannot use a protected characteristic such as pregnancy as the reason for delay?

I appreciate what I am saying isn't great for employers, but I'm not here to debate whether or not UK employment law is fair. I just want to think of realistic outcomes of what I expect will be a UK employment law compliant interview process and (hopefully) offer.

Yes, legally they would have to have another reason for delaying your start date. Of course, since most people will have a notice period to serve, it might be that they legitimately don't expect the new hire (whoever it is) to start for a month or two, in which case they don't legally have to change their plans for you. That said, particularly at this time of year, most employers want ASAP start dates.

I know several people who have got jobs whilst pregnant. If you can make it clear when you would be able to start the new job, preferably after the birth, then there shouldn't be a problem. If you really need the job before the birth, then just organise 6 weeks off at whatever the minimum level of statutory maternity allowance is, and make sure you go in for some keeping in touch days if that applies.
