I'm currently 37+4 and so fed up!! I just want this baby out now. I'm so tired because my DH keeps waking me up snoring, SPD is killing me especially at night and my 2yo keeps waking up crying randomly!!
DS arrived at 37+6 with my waters going at 37+4 so I guess I stupidly thought this one would be a couple of days earlier. Envy

Please someone give me some stories of second babies arriving the same or similar time as the first lol.

My sympathies. I had my dd a week ago and towards the end I was so huge and uncomfortable and SPd was Playing up and up a million times a night for a wee so just wanted her out. Ds was bang on according to my dates and 3 days early according to the scan dates. Dd was bang on according to my dates and 4 days late according to the scan. I trust my dates Grin I really hope your baby obliges you soon.

By my dates my DS was only 36+4 and scan 37+4. This baby is exactly the same and strangely enough the same days of the week too.
I know there is even the possibility that I could go over and need to be induced but I really don't want that lol.
Wishing she arrives by Sunday this week.

I'm 37+2 and I feel your pain - literally - I have SPD and it is agony during the night. Trying to whale role out of the bed to pee 7000 times per night is awful. I have 'til New Year to deliver or they're going to c-section me, I can't go for induction due to various medical reasons.

I have decided to surrender myself in the last few weeks, it's Christmas so there will be more family around to help with DS (he's 2 and a half) so I'm hoping to be able to rest a little. I also bought him a ton of games for Christmas so I can play with him while remaining seated Grin

Fingers crossed that you're daughter arrives by Sunday. I take it you've tried all of the usual baby eviction tricks.

Lol at the rolling whale! I know exactly what you mean! It's hard work trying to get out of bed lol. My husband keeps me awake snoring all night too - nice!

My DS is 2y and almost 3 months. He likes mummy to sit on the floor and play games or look at the Christmas tree Xmas Hmm

Have tried sex and curry up to now. Not drastic measures yet lol

I've tried pineapple, curry, bouncing on gym ball and walking up the stairs sideways (apparently it opens the pelvis up a bit more, it also means I can lean against the wall and my spd doesn't hurt as much). I can't bear the thoughts of attempting sex, I am terrified my hips will lock.

A few people on here swear by accupuncture, could you try that? Or would your partner give you a foot massage and use accupressure? There's a good few tips that you can google.

Iwish · 14/12/2013 11:53

Ooh the foot massage sounds good, I'm sure he will go for that. I've been for quite a few walks too and sit on my gym ball all the time. Strange that last time I did nothing and my waters just went and this time little girl is staying put.

Sex certainly isn't easy, can only do it doggy (sorry for tmi) as I can't get comfy anywhere else. DH must think he's having sed with a whale lol.

Someone recommended drinking a shot of balsamic vinegar. Not sure why and I havnt tried it yet but could be worth a go.
