This is my first pregnancy past 5weeks. Always miscarriaged. Im 34 and im struggling already. I haven't left the house in 5days. Nauseous n restlessness. Any smell makes me urge. I work nights and its getting me down. Travel bands help a little. I feel down and im normally bubbly. How did u manage

Didn't want to read and run, I had terrible morning sickness and nausea from 5 weeks- 19 weeks and it was horrendous. I totally get where you are coming from. It DOES pass, you'll hopefully find something, anything to eat at some point. Everyday was one less day to endure, if it all becomes too much get to your GP and get some anti nausea meds. I tried 4 different types but one worked in the end. I am a bubbly person too and in the end my work made me go on sick leave as I was making them all so depressed. It was the best thing I did, so if you need to take that route, do, and don't feel guilty!

Hope it passes really soon! X

Oh I remember in my first pregnancy being nauseous every day from late afternoon for the rest of the day/night. It was awful, I couldn't eat in the evenings. Didn't loose any weight though unfortunately! It started at 6 weeks for me and stopped at 10, so it was only a few weeks. Hope it doesn't last long for you, I know how tough it is. You can get anti-sickness tablets, not sure how good they are though.

You could do what I did and turn a negative into a positive. Smile
Every day I felt like utter shite was another day when I was unlikely to miscarry again. Every time I felt hideously nauseous I smiled to myself that I still had symptoms and I was still pregnant.

I had the same thing from 6 weeks - 16weeks! It will pass, I couldn't even get out of bed with the sickness it's terrible! The things that helped was sea bands, biscuits! Especially ginger nut I had some by my bed and would eat some before I got up, flat coke... The sugar does you wonders! A cup of tea.. Crisps! I was so worried because I wanted to eat healthy but the first trimester I was just snacking on crap! But baby's fine so hasn't done any harm! Hope it eases off for you soon!!

Ah you poor love. Totally know where you're coming from as felt horrendous from 6-20 weeks and it made me so depressed. It felt like I was going to feel like a useless, sickly rag forever! But the nausea passed eventually and I started to feel "normal" again, which was happy happy making.
Eat whatever makes you feel better - I was super healthy before pregnancy and tried to persevere but frankly, the things which made me feel remotely better were ginger biscuits, diet coke and crisps!
Hang in there.... There is light at the end of the tunnel!

The nausea sucks big time, you have my total understanding and sympathy. I too suffered terribly in the first trimester.

I did find that eating a tiny bit did help, nausea is often caused by dips in the blood sugar. If you can manage something, it may help. Carbs were my friend, particularly a wheetabix with sugar on. The sugar brings up your blood sugar and the carbs in the wheetabix keep it there. Little and often was my trick. The nausea didn't really go away, but it lessened.

Oh, and you have my blessing to punch the 100th well meaning friend/colleague/relative who asks you if you've tried ginger biscuits. There is only so many times you can mutter a polite 'yes, but nothing really helps' without wanting to reach for the nearest hatchet to bury in their head (pregnancy was not my friend!)

Good luck x
