So the midwife was suppose to come round last friday and never showed up or returned my calls or texts, i have been having BH for weeks now but over the past week everything has got much worse i can barley walk and my tummy is so tight it feels like baby is going to burst through it on the left had side, also i keep getting that feeling of the head knocking against my cervix nonstop to the point where i jump out of my seat and like a really heavy feeling "down there". I never had any of these problems with DS1 so I'm really worried that its pointing to early labour, I'm 38 weeks today and due to go in for c sec next tuesday 17.

What is going on with me?? Cant get hold of midwife/ labour ward say have a bath haha - any advice ladies? x

it could be very early signs of labour.

do you have period type cramps?

keep calling the hospital - triage, labour ward, whatever you can think of until you talk to someone.
or just turn up to get checked.

I hope you are ok.

I second just turning up to get checked. Even if they just turn you away, they will update your notes so your midwife will be aware of you going to a&e. I'm shocked she hasn't returned your texts or calls though Angry

Thanks girls. I've actually only seen her twice my whole pregnancy haha!

really? that is appalling.

how are you now? have you been given any advice?

specialmagiclady · 09/12/2013 22:57

Think I only saw the MW twice in my second pregnancy. But she was very good in the last few weeks (I always go to at least 41 weeks - ha! always. Twice).

If you can't sit down that might be a sign of things moving.

If you are due to have a caesarean there is obviously a reason for it, and you shouldn't be told to stay at home. Ring labour ward again and hopefully someone more sensible answers this time.... Good luck x

Thanks girls. Spoke to the midwife yesterday (like 4 days after she was suppose to turn up) and she said she knocked on the door, well turns out she went to a different house on the wrong street! Anyway I have my pre-op tmrw so she said she won't bother coming back - to be fair they do all my checks at the hospital so she's kinda right. I think its just BH/ big baby making me feel so uncomfy although it would of been nice if she came and checked me. Hate being pregnant only 6 days to go for me though :)
