Try not to worry unduly. Brown blood is old blood - its bright red, fresh blood that you'd need to worry about.

Take a rest, monitor the brown loss and phone back if it turns red and/or gets heavier x

it most likely isnt anything to worry about really, it's so common- but i can understand why you're extra cautious given the history

i'd suggest wearing a sanitary towel for the next few days to track it..
i had brown spotting a few times during 6-9- then a RED bleed at 10+2,which was v scary indeed.. i'm nearly 13 weeks now and everything is fine thank goodness!

Try not to worry, I had bright red scary blood at 8+5 last night and I've just had a scan...the little smudge is still flickering away in there! Call them back if anything changes and rest for now.

Please don't worry. I had brown blood in my underwear when I was 7+3 and again when I was 10+2.

I had scans both times with the EPU and the baby was absolutely fine. I was told that brown blood is very common at 7-8 weeks as that is when you would have been menstruating if you weren't pregnant and it is just natural shedding. If you aren't having any pains or cramps then please try not to worry. Just take it easy and keep an eye on it. On both my occasion the dry blood only appeared sporadically for about 1 or 2 days.

I then had a huge, bright red, fresh bleed when I was 14 weeks and rushed straight to hospital. Thankfully the baby was fine and I continued to pass dry blood for about 4-5 days but the midwife said it was nothing to worry about.

I can understand why you'd be nervous based on your previous losses but try and stay calm x x

I had brown discharge/blood on and off up to about 12 weeks or so with my first.

I went to get checked out, had swabs and ultrasounds and they never did find the cause. This was back in 2005 and I'm glad in my ignorance I had no access to the internet back then, because I would've worried myself to death.

I now have a very boisterous 7 1/2 year old so it's not necessarily something you have to worry about. I agree with the others that bright red blood is more concerning, but even this doesn't always signal doom either!

There is no harm calling EPU again and insisting to be seen if you are still worried though.

Thanks for replying everyone. I'll try and stay calm and just keep an eye on it!
