Basically the above question. I know I'm VERY limited on what I can and can't do but just after people's opinions and what you have done. I have just spent the weekend in Paris and my god was I tired Sad 6 maybe more miles walking Friday did me in!

I looked at that but didn't bother in the end. I'm going with my family and we've booked to do stuff like going to see father Xmas (for my niece) bowling, fireworks, meals out! I'm going next week, I might treat myself once I'm there to a massage if I can get booked in but in all honesty I'm
Just looking forward to relaxing! I've said to my family if I CBA to do anything I can just potter about the lodge and they can go off and do things! I have t had any time off from work this whole pregnancy, I intend to make the most of relaxing and pleasing myself as much as poss! Lol xxxx Grin when do you go? Xx

K8eee · 05/12/2013 07:42

That sounds really nice! Hubby and I went in feb this year but it was pretty packed with activities!

We're looking at booking for sometime in jan. I'm due the end of march so want to be home for the last month to potter about at home and make sure everything is ready, and in case I go into labour early! Grin

Sounds a good idea. Admittedly you can't go on the flumes, but being able to float every day will be wonderful.

Just make sure you go to nice, flat, Elvedon, and not to hilly Longleat!

BoohPear · 05/12/2013 07:46

I went at 6 months pregnant. Didn't book any activities as we were going for a rest. I found the walking quite painful but manageable and I was a bit upset I couldn't go on the rapids but I survived! We went back with 6 month old dd and it was brill.

K8eee · 05/12/2013 08:01

Were hoping to go to elveden Smile that's where we went before and loved it! I am a bit gutted I can't go on the flumes or rapids but think I shall just appreciate being away. We're looking to go with friends, and they have lo's so hopefully it won't be too hectic! Think I'll try and get some reading in too whilst I can

I'm 33 weeks with a very active 3 year old DS, and suffering with back and leg pain and grinding exhaustion. But if someone offered me a trip to center parcs I would definitely be up for it! I'm sure you'll have a fab time Grin

NoComet · 05/12/2013 08:20

No way. I love water-shoots, going to CP and not being able to go on the rapids would be torture, a total and utter waste of money.

cjbk1 · 05/12/2013 17:18

for me it'd be perfect; no cooking unless you want to, no real housework, swimming, spa bath in villa, nice walks if wished, carriage rides, lovely Christmas activities, fireworks on the lake, early dinners the norm, play areas in most in restaurants/cafés, all facilities for my existing children, aqua sana spa if wished, Pilates....etc etc and I've never met any of the undesirables other threads think populate the place, and it's always been lovely and clean IME, last break was when dd2 was 8wks old Smile

beela · 05/12/2013 22:05

We're going at that sort of stage - I am due end of April and we are going in early February. I can't wait. Just the ease of entertaining 3yo DS will make it relaxing for me.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 05/12/2013 22:37

My friend has just come back from Elveden, they had a marvellous time, really Christmassy. Go and have a great time, just after hearing their stories promise me you wont go on the Cyclone! Confused Grin

mineofuselessinformation · 05/12/2013 22:52

Look at the village map and book a villa that's not too long a walk.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 05/12/2013 23:18

According to my friend, there are fireworks and Father Christmas on the lake. If you can get lakefront and close to the dome, that would be even better! Smile

FloJo151 · 06/12/2013 07:52

we went to center parcs at xmas time last year and it was magical!!! We are going in jan when i'll be 37 wks!!!!! am looking forward to just relaxing and letting everyone one else run around after my 2 other ds's (going with extended family). am mightly disappointed at not being able to go down the rapids as its prob the first year that ds1 can go down and I wanted to be the one who took him. Sad Also a bit worried about all the walking but hoping it will encourage baby to get into a good position!

cjbk1 · 06/12/2013 10:24

yes that's it; it was so christmassy with the polar bear and the reindeer and everything, resting bump (or new mum) by a crackling log fire is practically compulsory and I certainly couldn't do it at home Wink
I don't work for them I'm a registered dental nurse Shock

AlwaysDancing1234 · 06/12/2013 11:00

I am jealous! Go and enjoy yourself, in my experience you can sort of do as much or as little as you like at CP. Been several times and had some quiet and some activity filled holidays. Look at map before you book so that your villa is near the village square or some etc. I would recommend pregnancy massage or maybe a manicure and pedicure. It's nice to be able to go swimming lots if you fancy it too.
