No don't worry! I have one too. It basically means it tips backwards rather than tipping forwards (I think). Basically the opposite direction to a regular uterus Grin. But won't affect the pregnancy. Congrats Grin

Well I got. Told I have a heart shaped uterus that can make conceiving very difficult ermmmm that was in my 4th pregnancy (with twins)

I've known for years thstni have a retroverted womb...on dc6 no problems!

RobinSparkles · 02/12/2013 20:49

It's common. Just means that it's tilted backwards instead of forwards.

I have one, or I did - I think sometimes pregnancy can "correct" it. I have 2 DC, no problems.

You're in good company - Imogen Thomas has one. She went on and on about how "rare" it was in the papers. It isn't :o.

Congratulations.

I had 1 for dc3 and 4 but has corrected its self for this pregnancy, I did find with dc4 a period of pregnancy where I could hardly wee although I was busting and midwife said it was caused by my uterus going back up to correct position and with the baby in there it was just about cutting of my bladder, it was severely retroverted like a u shape at that point. I was also asked if I had any problems conceiving dc4 due to it but I don't know if that was just midwife making chit chat or wether it can be a medical problem ( I didn't have any problem tho) I think loads of people have them especially people who have had children already nothing to worry about

It is very common and doesn't usually cause any problems, hence not worthy of mention - don't panic!!
