Hi ladies had my 20 week scan last week and she said my placenta was low.
At the time when she told me I forgot to ask any questions.

I just wondered if this could be the cause of my low back pain and trapped nerves around my low back and bum.

I was a domestic goddess yesterday since I was off work and Maybe did too much last night I couldn't even stand up straight and the pain in my bum and back were bad.

At work I'm on my feet all day 6 days a week and by the end of day in agony with lower back.

Any body else experinced this with a low placenta or is this just the joys of pregnacy.

This is my first baby and feel totally clueless

That sort of back pain is normal and yes its the joys of pregnancy. I get it and you will see lots of threads from other women complaining about the same thing when I do too much and its got worse as I have progressed with the pregnancy (currently 35+3). I don't have a low lying placenta.

I had grade 4 placenta praevia twice and I don't think I had any more back ache with these than my previous pregnancy.

Experiencing the same pain. Was admitted in hospital excessive bleeding at weeks. Low lying placenta, cervix was dilating. Since been sent on on bed n pelvic rest. Back pains though!!!! All the way down the end of my spin into my buttocks. Noticed it happens after excessive work. So rest rest rest

I had low lying placenta and it had moved by 30 weeks. I'm now 36 weeks and it's high and posterior. Just saying for reassurance that it will probably move up x
