I'm 35 weeks with DC2 and suffering a bit with SPD. So far it's been manageable but 2 year old DS has discovered that I now can't catch him and is taking full advantage. He ran off at the shops today and I had to chase him as it was really busy. When I finally caught up to him 3 aisles later I reached down to grab the little monster and my foot slipped. I sort of did the splits a little bit (although managed to stay upright), but I could feel things moving in my pelvis that had no business to be moving. It was so so sore. Went back to the car and cried Blush

I've still got 2 weeks left at work, and the thought of commuting an hour each way for the next three days is making me want to weep. I'm part time so it could be worse but I've also got some work stuff going on which meant I was dreading going in anyway Sad

SPD is only going to get worse isn't it? I'm so fed up.

Someone tell me to pull myself together?

Hi Hun I'm 5 months with my first and suffering quite a bit at work with pelvic pain and a trapped nerve, so at 35 weeks I dread to think

Could you not start your leave now or go on sick?

Feel for you doing the splits at any time for me would be painful let alone chasing a toddler 3 5 weeks hope you feel better x

Thanks SweetPea Smile Sorry you're suffering too, it's not much fun sometimes is it?!

Unfortunately the work issues I mentioned mean I can't really go off sick without it looking v bad. I'm going to see if I can work from home a couple of days, and then at least I can stay in my jammies and not have to commute.

Roll on mat leave, that's all I can say!

Hope you feel better soon.

You poor thing :(

I'm 34 weeks and my SPD is thankfully not too bad compared with what some people put up with. Today it seems I'm having a sciatica flare-up on top, so I'm extra moany Blush

Serena, that happened to me too last week, ow! I'm 31 weeks and don't have spd but when my foot slipped on the dogs blanket, my goodness me it hurt! Can't imagine what it must be like if it's painful anyway Sad

I know it's different for you with the spd, but my 'splits' was 5 days ago, and it is feeling loads better now, just hurts a little when turning or over stretching. Really hope that things get better for you too. Good luck!

Thanks everyone Smile I feel quite stiff and sore today but I've been wearing my oh-so-glamorous tubigrip from the physio and I think that's helped a little.

Acupuncture JustHayley why didn't I think of that! I've had it before and it helped. Will look into it.

I've had sciatica on and off too Toby, I wonder if its connected to SPD? I hope you're feeling a bit better today anyway.

Oh dear shroomboom it's so easy to jar things when you're all ungainly isn't it - glad to hear it's a bit easier for you now. Hopefully my poor fanjo sorts itself out too. I've been walking like an 80 year old today, most embarrassing Blush
