Newly pregnant and starting to get fit

Just found out I'm pregnant with DC2. With DD I had a really easy pregnancy, great natural birth and overall didn't struggle with much at all. However, I was 2.5 years younger and much fitter then!

I've recently been trying to get back in to going to Body Pump and swimming. I say "trying" because it's not going wonderfully well - lack of time has been my main issue but I know I need to prioritise it.

My arse is so lardy and I know that my overall strength and fitness is underpar at the moment and I'd hate for this to affect my chances of an easy pregnancy again. But I also know that it's not recommended to start a new exercise programme when pregnant.

Am thinking of a couple of classes a week, perhaps a preggo yoga DVD at home and then swimming when I can. This will be an increase from what I'm currently doing (ie bugger all) but it's all stuff I've done before and know I should be able to cope with. I think the general advice is to go easy and not overdo it (fat chance of me doing that Wink) and I remember from before that my bump would soon let me know if I needed to slow down.

Anyone been in a similar position?

I'm in a similar situe. Former fitness freak but havent done much in a yr, now 10 weeks preggo. Midwife told me to start off with aquarobics once/twice a week, plus walking- then work up towards the gym. After a month of that i'm going to start Yogalates as well. I dont want to overdo it but i want to get fit too- let's just take it quite slow, and keep it to twice a week for the first few weeks.
