Hi everyone I'm new to this so bare with me lol. I noticed last weds that when I went for a wee and wiped there was pink blood on the tissue. Rung midwife straight away and was told to go to epu the next morning. Since then I've had 3 lots of hcg levels done and 2 scans.

Hcg on 14/11 - 480
Hcg on 16/11-618
Hcg on 18/11 - 827

Midwife said these levels should be increasing by a lot more than that but didn't really explain anymore.

My first scan on 15/11 showed no sac but increased thickness of my womb - 10mm
My next scan on 18/11 showed a sac and extremely small 'baby' around 1mm

My question is with my hcg not increasing properly and I'm still spotting when I wipe should I be really concerned? I have another scan booked in for Friday so hoping 'baby' has increased in size but trying not to get my hopes up to much. Has anyone else had this and what was the outcome? Good or bad thank you sorry for such a long post xxx

Sorry to hear you're going through this. I don't have any info or advice but I'm sure someone else will. Just take it a day at a time. It's all you can do. xx

How pregnant do you think you are?
I'm sorry, what I'm going to type isn't very positive, but that doesn't mean bean won't pull through.
I was told HCG needed to ideally double in 48 hrs, but minimum go up by 1.66. Neither of your results meet this criteria.
I'm also surprised that you can see anything on a scan at those HCG levels. I'm certain levels in the thousands were when something would be expected to be seen on a scan. The fact that something has been seen in your womb suggests not an ectopic pregnancy, which is what my answer is based on experience of, however.
The fact that HCG is still increasing means your body believes it is carry a baby. The slow rise might mean the pregnancy isn't viable, but I think you really need to speak to the midwife (ideally at EPU) to get the answers. If they were convinced the pregnancy wasn't viable, they wouldn't be continuing to monitor you.
Fingers crossed for good news on Fri, and I'm sorry the above is pretty negative. It doesn't have to be bad news.
