Whens the earliest a mw would do one, im 37 weeks toda and mw told me last week now it is safe to encourage labour i.e walking loads, hot curries, sex etc but im bloody fed up and want my baby home! Anyone got a clue if they would do it soon?

A sweep won't send you into labour unless your body is already ready. And they wouldn't even be able to do one if your cervix isn't favourable, which at 37 weeks it isn't likely to be.

I don't suppose there's any harm in asking, but I can't imagine your midwife would do it.

She is engaged and i feel ready Sad i am getting loaads of pressure down below and walking odd now lol, if i ask her to feel my cervix would she?

I doubt it. Every time you have an internal you risk introducing infection. Midwives don't like to do them unnecessarily.

But like I said, there's no harm in asking.

Our NHS trust only offers sweeps from 40 weeks. I highly doubt you'll manage to get one done before then.
