I'm bloody knackred! Dd has been up for over an hour now, she does this about once a week just up in the night for hours on end! I feel like crap I need to sleep so much :( don't really get my poor DH up as he has a long day at work tomorrow. I know tomorrow/today is going to be a very long hard day!

I know a lot of people don't agree with it but I would start a sleep training method now. You will have plenty of time to get it established properly and it will stop you and dh from going insane. Pick which ever one suit you and dh best and remember that you need to be really consistent. I was told that sleep things would get worse first and that it would be a month before we saw any results.

We did baby whisperer with my DS and although it was really hard for the first couple of weeks (me crying whilst comforting him and telling him it was ok and that it was just sleepy time). It worked and he will now sleep every night 7 till 6 or 7 consistently. My DS is a bit more variable but she is pretty good at going back to sleep if she wakes up ( which is about once a fortnight) with minimal fuss because we have stayed really consistent with what we do.

You might get more help on the toddlers talk section. They probably have a special section for sleep training.

It will get better as dd gets older anyway but I couldn't have waited. It would have made me ill and consequently not very good at being a mum.

I could have written this post myself! DS was up 230-430 last night. DH did try to settle him as I am poorly with laryngitis but it didn't work.

So tired!

I love cbeebies Grin

We were up in the night a lot too, is it something to do with the moon? Grin we usually put DS in his own bed at 7.30 and then he co-sleeps when if he wakes in the night. We're trying to get him to sleep through in his own bed, so doing a lot of resettling and carrying back through which is lovely at 4.30am and you have to be up at 6.30 for work... am 7.1w so you have my every sympathy!

No problem. Just hope you find something which works for you.

Another one up alot the last couple of weeks, it started with ds having a cold and waking up because he was stuffy but the cold has gone and he is still waking up, I'm wondering if it's to do with the weather getting colder. Hmm
