I'm 19+2 weeks pregnant, and still not feeling any movement at all. This is my second pregnancy, and I'm certain I could feel movement by now.

When did you start feeling your baby move? I'm getting a bit concerned.

Hi womma, first of all congratulations! Thanks I'm pg and baby number 1 and found out at my 20 week scan I have an anterior placenta but did start feeling gentle movement (very subtle mind you!) around your time. Maybe when you have your 20 week check they'll be able to tell you where your placenta is laying and this may be why you're not feeling much Sad

I'm 18 weeks and can't feel anything. It's worrying. Heard the heartbeat last week which was reassuring. Can't remember when I felt movement with my first.

Sorry to post and run, I've not disappeared! Well, it's good to know others are at the same stage and still waiting too. I hope we all start to feel something soon.

For some reason my hospital scans at 23 weeks, so I've got another four weeks until then. The earlier scan didn't find an anterior placenta, but it could all have shifted about I suppose? There was a good strong heartbeat at my last midwife appointment, so I'm reassured by that.

I'm sure I felt the baby move earlier than this before though. And once you first feel it, you feel it more and more as your pregnancy progresses don't you? But knowing that other people at the same stage aren't feeling anything yet does ease my mind. Thanks everyone, and good luck!

I didn't find out about which way my placenta was laying until my 20 week scan so don't you worry yourself too much womma Smile also, you can have this scan up to 23 weeks so you should be ok Smile

Thanks. How far along are you, or have you had your baby yet?

I'm nearly 22 weeks. Am finally starting to learn baby's movement pattern (as subtle as it is!) how are you feeling womma?

womma · 15/11/2013 21:04

Still a bit sick, but I was really suffering with 'morning' sickness so in comparison I'm much better thanks. My previous pregnancy was more enjoyable than this time round, but I know it's all worth it in the long run. It's quite amazing really isn't it?!
I wish you all the best with your pregnancy, glad you're feeling your baby moving too.

IKWYM Womma. I said to dh yesterday that this is my last pregnancy. Never again. It's been awful from day 1. My first pregnancy was brilliant. This time I've been vomiting, got hip pain, can't sleep, absolutely knackered and I have a 20 mo to look after.

Still not feeling any movement but trying not to freak out. 2 weeks til my scan.
Keep posting as and when. xx

Congratulations! I didn't start feeling proper movement until 24 weeks. I had an anterior placenta so movement was a bit subdued at first but soon caught up! Try not to worry xx

womma · 15/11/2013 22:44

That's encouraging teabird, thanks. I'm definitely feeling less worried after reading the helpful and lovely posts here, thanks everyone!

inglorious - you speak the truth! This is without a doubt my last pregnancy too, it's been hellish from week 5. Although everything so far seems fine with the baby, I am a ruddy mess! I can barely walk and talk at the same time! I have a 5 year old DD and she regularly gets a bucket from the kitchen and puts it next to me in case I'm sick, she's well trained by now! Only got to get to April, and hopefully I'll be able to get back to normal then.

Please everyone, keep us posted with the flutters etc. Best of luck to us all!
