Anyone else been induced? How long from pessary being inserted did you begin to feel contractions?

Will try update as much as I can throughout my labour Smile bear with me x

Well, baby Sebastian is here! All 7lbs12.5oz of him.
Our whole family is completely in love with him and I'm super proud that I managed a vbac :)

First prostin was given at 5pm and didnt seem to do much as when checked and given 2nd dose at 11pm cervix was still high... 11.30 and string pains were coming but midwife said they were probably prostin aches.... 2.30am came around and I begged to be checked as the pain was becoming too bad....lovely angel midwife (who was covering while grumpy midwife was on her break) checked me to find I was 2cms and offered me pethadine. An hour later I called grumpy midwife to witness a contraction so she could see that I needed gas and air...she did and I got some...
At 4.30 she insisted that she examine me...only to find I was 7cms, at which point I begged and pleaded for her to sort out an epi - which she did and it arrived within 10 mins, it was then that I fell in love with her because I was so tired and I'm not great when pain and tiredness are hitting me at the same time. Epi in...one completely numb right side and a teeny bit of feeling left in the other (not enough to bother me though) and I laboured comfortably for a few hours. Baby was happy, I was comfy, waters still in tact. They let my labour progress naturally without anymore intervention until 12pm when they broke my water as I'd been fully dilated for a while and there was no sign they were going to go. They left me for another hour so baby could move down naturally and leave me with less to push. At 1 I started pushing but due to the epi and position, I didn't feel like I was pushing well enough and my fears were realised when they called in the consultant (3pm) to basically tell me we weren't getting very far and that he wanted to take me to surgery for a forceps delivery...at which point all bloody hell broke loose and I told him that under no circumstances wa I going to let that happen (the thought petrified me).
He agreed to let me try to push for another half hour. He left the room and I pleaded with the 3midwives to somehow get me upright because only gravity was going to help.
They did something magical with the bed which kind of turned it into a really comfy dentist chair with a sort of Hollow seat. Low and behold, at 3.23pm, Sebastian Richard Matthew, was born....after some good old fashioned pushing and grunting, followed by a huge gush of water that literally covered 3very shocked midwives :)

The consultant returned and couldn't believe I'd done it and the lovely student midwife said it was a delivery she'd never forget. Utter determination. That's all you need!!

It really was a lovely birth other than the threat of forceps, which just made me get to where I wanted to be! Worth every second, even if I could feel it all because I stopped pressing the epi button so I could feel the contractions and give it my all with each one.
