Hi I'm 25 weeks tomorrow and baby hasn't moved since last night, usually as soon as I'm in bed she starts until I fall asleep usually about 10pm! She usually starts again in the mornings when I'm getting ready for work and in the car but nothing thins morning :( I be had pains into bump since last night ( which I thought was just stretching) I know it's a bit early for movement patterns but she's been in a pattern since about 20 weeks should I be worried or should I ring the midwife? I'm at work now and sat at my desk so can't lay down on my side or anything I've tried drinking cold water but still nothing :( Tia just a bit worried! Xxx

I can't see the harm in calling the midwife.

Mama1980 · 13/11/2013 08:10

I Would definitely call your midwife, sure it ok, just better to be safe.

Yes call. From 25 weeks they will hook you up to the monitor.
Baby has probably moved round and is kicking towards your back instead of front, but it is not worth stressing yourself out and to keep waiting to feel something.

If yours is anything like mine, it'll start kicking as soon as you make your way to the unit to be checked out Smile

notapizzaeater · 13/11/2013 08:13

I'd ring the ,midwife and ask, honestly they don't mind. I had to o in twice or monitoring when ds didn't move ....

lunar1 · 13/11/2013 08:14

Call the midwife, they will put you on a monitor. I did this several times, best to get checked just to be sure.

Doitnow · 13/11/2013 08:17

Another person agreeing to call midwife. I called my GP ice too because I couldn't get hold of midwife and he was happy to have a listen in. Be prepared for them to tell you to go to the hospital though as that's happened to some people I know. Best to put your mind at rest.

Charotte31 · 13/11/2013 08:32

I would just go up to your local hospital. They will put you on a monitor. Better to be safe! Don't sit at work worrying. Let us know how things are going x

So pleased it's OK. I just read your first post and was going to add my voice to all those saying go get checked out to be safe and to put your mind at rest, then saw you'd already been and got back! I had the same experience a couple of days ago with my baby going into hiding, it's a really anxious time and the midwives were really lovely about it. I had exactly the same experience as you of baby livening up once the midwife had given the bump a stern talking to. The baby has been really active too since coming home from being checked out, I think it has been rolling around laughing at us and enjoying the success of the practical joke it just played!

Bluecarrot · 13/11/2013 15:07

My placenta is at the front and right up til around 30 weeks I couldn't feel baby for days at a time. Still freaked me out every time! Now she's 32 weeks and I'm loving being able to predict her patterns and feel them on a daily basis.

runninggirl85 · 13/11/2013 17:48

I'm 24 weeks and have an anterior placenta but have felt nothing at all . So frustrating - hoping shes ok in there. x

Naomilouise1992 · 13/11/2013 19:30
