Hello all

I wonder if anyone can share their stories regarding pregnancy after LLETZ, I had one before my first son and am now pregnant again 10 years after the first LLETZ and 3 years after the last, I've had 2 since having my son which I've since been told is very bad should I not be finished with having a family. I believe they can put a stitch in my cervix but I've heard good and bad about this. I believe I need to go for a scan to check length of my cervix which will determine whether a stitch is needed but to add to complications we are moving abroad when I'll be 6 months pregnant, if I've had a scan and they have monitored my cervix up until 6 months is it likely I won't need to worry about having it done if all ok? I'm concerned that it will be hard for me to arrange this sort of scan in Portugal - if anyone can offer advice I'd be really grateful as at the moment it's taking enjoyment away from this pregnancy, I'm really worried about it all thanks x

Hello, I'm currently 21 weeks with my second pregnancy, almost 2 1/2 years since I had my LLETZ when DD was around a year old.

I have been told that more than one LLETZ is when they start classing you as higher risk, but that doesn't automatically mean bad, just that they want to keep a closer eye on you.

I can only go off what I've been told as someone who has had one procedure. I've been told that I have an increased risk of premature labour, but it's not high enough for them to do anything about it. I would guess that in your case that's why they want to put a stitch in.

I don't know anything about moving abroad during pregnancy.

This article is interesting, www.birthresourcenetwork.org/blog/98-cervical-scar-tissue--a-big-issue-that-no-one-is-talking-about

Hope your mw or gp can give you some better answers :)
