I went to bed last feeling like I had a chill with a headache and without eating as I felt too unwell. I have woken up this morning feeling worse. Should I be concerned for my baby?

Phone your midwife ASAP. Could be nothing or could be serious.

Unless you get significantly worse, I'm sure your baby will be fine. Take some paracetamol and if you're concerned ring your doc/midwife.

And go back to bed. This might be the last time you can take time out when you're ill!

How far along are you londongirl? I was worried in case it was flu or an infection.

Call midwife just to be safe x

I agree with the previous posters, you can call you midwife and list all your symptoms and get some reassurance. The biggest concern about being ill during pregnancy is having a high fever for more than 24 hours (althought this is mostly a concern before 15 weeks while your baby's organs are forming). Having headaches, sneezing and feeling unwell wont affect your baby. What I did when i had a bad cold a few days ago (currently 22 weeks pregnant) was i took paracetamol and just stayed in bed watching movies! Also keep a bottle of water next to you as you can easily get dehydrated. Unfortunately it is unavoidable getting a few colds during the 9 months of pregnancy...good luck!

What are you worried about? Something in particular?

You sound fluey/coldy. Don't worry about to eating - baby will get what e needs, but try and eat something down if you can get dp to make something appealing. Drink plenty, paracetamol.

I was ill 2 weeks ago - it's miserable.
