Anyone else found this? My normal clothes fit ok but today have given my new wardrobe a go for comfort rather than fit. I'm 15 weeks with dc2 and I swear I look massive with them on! Has anyone else found that? Maternity clothes are asos and h&m.

yes because instead of holding it in they let it all hang out! definitely found this with all 3 of my pregnancies.

embrace the bump Wink

Yes same here. I'm 16 weeks and have much bigger bump than this time last pregnancy. With dd I didn't get into mat clothes til 25 weeks, this time, 12 weeks. Feel like a blimp and have soooooo long to go.

I nearly died at how big I looked in maternity tights, seemed to come out of nowhere!

I regretfully bought baggier maternity stuff early on thinking it would be more comfy (and I'm not normally a figure hugging clothes kinda person) but have found fitted stuff to be the most comfy and the most flattering so have learnt a lesson!

I now particularly enjoy tighter horizontal stripes - if you're going to 'put the bump out there' you might as well do it properly I figured! Loving it!

I also found in the early weeks of maternity that some clothes had so much room for a bump but my bump barely filled it at all - so it made it look huge as it was just like a puffy dress...

I defo found fitted stuff better in early pregnancy (I was wearing body con dresses and leggings w/fitted tops) to try and show off the bump but the bigger I got the more uncomfortable I found this and have gone more towards wanting looser fitting things.

Also, early on I HATED the over the bump trousers but now my below the bump ones DO NOT stay up and I am constantly pulling them up or my crack shows (sorry TMI) so you may just want a mix of stuff for early and later stages of pregnancy - your preferences for what to wear may change!

I have embraced the skinny belt - worn under the bust empire line style on tshirts or long vests.

It doesn't make me look any smaller, but it makes me look less like a potato.

Sometimes wearing tighter/fitted clothes helps as it shows you've got a bump without looking big all over eg. I bought a dress for a wedding recently and, oh my, did it make me look huge as it flowed down over the bump iykwim. A tight fitting black dress from H&M mama was much more flattering with a bright cardi over the top. My favourite combo at the moment is skinny jeans (black), fitted t-shirt/top (black), and a long coloured cardi and scarf. There seems to be a theme her for me.....black!!!!

When you're at the awkward inbetween stage where you have a bit of a bump but aren't that big maternity clothes won't do you any favours. I got some maternity tops at about 16 weeks and its only now at 28 weeks that most of them make me look pregnant rather than fat! I second embracing the stripes and maybe moving into a size or two bigger normal clothes until you reach that big bump stage.
