So very dizzy!

I'm 23+4 with DC3 and I've started getting dizzy spells.

They haven't been too bad but this afternoon I was about to put the kettle on, staggered into the door frame as I went into the kitchen, then once I got to the kitchen counter I felt myself leaning sideways. DH had seen me hit the door frame and had followed me, grabbed a dining chair and made me sit with my head between my knees (or as far as it would go with a bump in the way!)

It was horrible. It was like the room was spinning in one direction and the inside of my head was spinning in the other. He made me have a snack (banana and some chicken just out of the oven) and a drink which helped a little bit but its 45 minutes later and I'm still a little bit dizzy, although not as bad (but I'm sitting now not standing).

Pregnancy has been relatively problem free so far, my blood pressure was ever so slightly low at my last check-up but that's normal for me as its always ever so slightly low. Iron was fine last time it was checked too (mind, that was at 10wks). I don't feel ill, no headaches or swelling or pains or anything like that.

Anyone else had this?

As you only had your iron checked at 10 weeks and it's been 13 weeks since then it may be worth asking your mw to get it checked. Dizzyness could be due to low iron.

Hope you feel better soon xx

If I were you I'd pop to the GP tomorrow if they have an open clinic, or to the maternity unit a hospital, and ask for your blood pressure to be checked and to talk to someon about an iron test. Can't be much fun feeling so dizzy, I hope it passes soon.

At work tomorrow, but I work in the hospital where I'm booked so might pop upstairs to MAU if it keeps up.

Good idea, always best to get checked and find out its nothing than worry about it. And if it is anything untoward (touchwood it's not) they can get you sorted there and then.

I am about 9 weeks and I've had it since week 2, I'm home today with it as well. I shouldn't really be in the laptop. Things are quite blurry and I frequently get dizziness and vertigo an have to clutch at things to keep myself from falling.

It's really annoying, but I mentioned it at my booking appointment last week and it was treated as normal. Bah.
