Baby show this weekend - is it worth it?

There is one in Kensington Olympia this weekend. Has anyone attended one? Are there any discounts/offers on products such as prams, nursery stuff, slings etc? Or am I just going to be overwhelmed or plain disappointed?
Thanks for your advice

I dragged DP and DD1 along to a baby and toddler show back in Feb.
We came away with an astonishing amount of leaflets and an NCT bednest - they sell off the demo ones after each show at a discounted price.

I've got tickets to go tomorrow, I'm hoping its good. I've had emails about the offers and they seem quite good but you never know!

I went to the baby and toddler show at event city in Manchester, I found it both overwhelming and useful! There us a lot of information available. I found there was a lot if fabulous stuff we'll outside my price range but there was also a lot of discounts on things so you can save some money if you are careful. I did a circuit of the whole show before committing to anything.

Even if you don't buy anything there is usually a goody bag and some other freebies and money off vouchers. Its also good to be able to see things up close and try them out.

I went to the Manchester one this year. We already knew what pram & car seat we wanted after week-ends of dragging DH around various baby shops ;-)
We did a full circuit if the show & bought our pram, car seat & a high chair & saved around £300. We were really pleased. There was so many lovely things to look at most of which were way out of our price range but nice to look at.
Also got lots of info on other products.
We bought the tickets on line so got a discount.
The goodie / freebie bag wasn't all that though.
I'd go to another if I'm PG again. I'd take my own bottled water though the food & drink was really over priced £4 for a crappy hot dog & I think £2+ for a bottle of water. It was really warm in there so I drunk 4 bottles I was so thirsty.

Hi I went to this yesterday. I found it really useful especially as I was interested in slings and reusable nappies so I got to speak to all the different retailers and got demonstrations and a clearer picture on what I wanted. They also give you discounts whilst they're at the show which is great if you've already decided what you want. I agree with the poster above the food is expensive there. I didn't get a goodie bag though.

Definitely worth going for your first - you can learn loads and it's great to see all the different goods out on display.

Went with our second and although there were a few freebies, for the most part we didn't get much out of it as we'd BTDT.

Didn't bother with our third and won't with our fourth.

If we'd had big gaps between children then it's worth going again to see what has changed.

Thanks. We went along early this morning before it got too busy and got some great deals. Half price on the nursery furniture we'd prev chosen, £200 of iCandy pram, half price baby monitor, 2,free packs of new born nappies and a discount on the breast pump I'd chosen. Nearly brought an ergo baby sling too but lady was too busy and I was shattered! Thanks again - better than I expected and well worth the trip. If anyone is going go early as it got really busy. Thanks again for the advice x
